Ephesians 6:17-18, MSG “God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long.”
There is nothing God can do without his Word. There is no way God can be dissociated with his Word. God is His Word and God is in His Word. To prevail in prayer, prayer must be Word-based, Word-oriented, Word-focused and Word-centered.
6 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE WORD OF GOD
1st thing : When God speaks, his Word is settled in heaven
2nd thing : When God speaks, it will take his hand to bring it to pass.
3rd thing : When God speaks, his Word is ever true. He always means what he says and says what he means.
5th thing : When God speaks, his Word is final, unquestionnable, unchangeable and above any other word.
Psalms 119:89 "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven."
2nd thing : When God speaks, it will take his hand to bring it to pass.
2 Chronicles 6:4 "And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled [that] which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying"
2 Chronicles 6:15 "Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled [it] with thine hand, as [it is] this day."
1 Kings 8:24 "Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled [it] with thine hand, as [it is] this day."
Psalms 33:9 "For he spake, and it was [done]; he commanded, and it stood fast."
3rd thing : When God speaks, his Word is ever true. He always means what he says and says what he means.
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12 "God’s word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. God’s word judges a person’s thoughts and intentions."
Numbers 23:19 "God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
John 6:6 "And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do."
4th thing : When God speaks, he always keeps and watches over his Word
2 Chronicles 6:15 "For you have kept the word which you gave to your servant David, my father; with your mouth you said it and with your hand you have made it come true this day."
Jeremiah 1:12 "Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it."
5th thing : When God speaks, his Word is final, unquestionnable, unchangeable and above any other word.
Proverbs 16:1 "The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD."
Deuteronomy 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish [ought] from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."
Acts 3:15 "And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses."
6th thing : When God speaks, he works and confirms his Word
Mark 16:20 "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."
Isaiah 44:26 "[God] confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof"
SO SHALL IT BE!
