Leviticus 19:5 "When you bring a fellowship offering to the LORD, sacrifice it properly so that you will be accepted.

Leviticus 22:29 "When you sacrifice a thank offering to the LORD, do it in the proper way.”

KEY STATEMENT

ONLY ACCEPTED PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED BY GOD. Until your prayers are accepted, they cannot be answered.

Prayers are for the believer an offering to God upon the altar. From Scriptures, it is clearly established that the acceptability of the sacrifice is function of specific scriptural demands.

1) PRAYER IS AN ACEPTED OFFERING WHEN IT IS OFFERED UPON THE ALTAR WITH FAITH

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer [shall be] abomination.

2) PRAYER IS AN ACEPTED OFFERING WHEN IT IS OFFERED UPON THE ALTAR FROM THE HEART

Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near [me] with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

3) PRAYER IS AN ACCEPTED OFFERING WHEN IT IS OFFERED UPON THE ALTAR WITH REVELATION AND UNDERSTANDING

Matthew 26:12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did [it] for my burial. 13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Luke 24:1 Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain [others] with them. […] 24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4) PRAYER IS AN ACCEPTED OFFERING WHEN IT IS OFFERED UPON THE ALTAR CONTINUOUSLY AND TIRELESSLY

Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

5) PRAYER IS AN ACCEPTED OFFERING WHEN IT COSTS YOU SOMETHING

2 Samuel 24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy [it] of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

6) PRAYER IS AN ACCEPTED OFFERING WHEN IT IS OFFERED UPON THE ALTAR WITH AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

7) PRAYER IS AN ACCEPTED OFFERING WHEN IT IS OFFERED UPON THE ALTAR WITH A PURE HEART AND WITH PURE MOTIVES

Psalms 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me]:

James 4:3 When you pray for things, you don’t get them because you want them for the wrong reason--for your own pleasure.
