⏩ COVENANT MONTH OF ESCAPE ⏪ DAY 5 "WHEN YOU REACH THE EDGE"

SCRIPTURE

Joshua 3:8
► Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: 'When you reach the edge of the Jordan's waters, go and stand in the river.'"

KEY STATEMENT

Someone has said that the devil can wall us in, but he cannot roof us over. We can always get out at the top.

In life it happens to us to reach a place called the  edge. It is a place where everything seems to be impossible to deal with. It is a place where you are sandwiched between the Red Sea in front and the Egyptians behind. It is a place where you are confronted with fear and uncertainty and you don't know what is going to happen next.

From Scripture, we learn and we discover that what people thought to be the edge was actually the opening of a new chapter of their lives.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I REACH THE EDGE?

1) When Israel reached the edge of the Red Sea, they were overwhelmed with fear and panic and they started crying. But God told them "FEAR NOT, GO FORWARD". As they went forward, they saw what they have never seen before and walked where their brain would have never imagined before. What was considered as the edge turned into a new chapter of glory for them.

Let it be your experience today in the Name of Jesus Christ!

In Exodus 14:15, the Bible says,
"And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they GO FORWARD"

A WORD FOR YOU TODAY : ARE YOU AT SUCH PLACE? DO YOU LOOK SANDWICHED AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ? GOD IS TELLING YOU TODAY THAT YOUR BRAIN IS TOO LITTLE TO HANDLE WHAT HE IS ABOUT TO DO FOR YOU.  "FEAR NOT, GO FORWARD".

2) The widow of Zarephath reached the edge of the food necessary to sustain her family. One day, while she was cooking her meal, she did not know what would happen next.

She was depressed and hopeless not only because she was poor but also because there was famine in the  land.

At that very same moment, God sent the prophet and commanded her to feed him first.

In 1 Kings 17:13, the Bible says,
"And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son."

Actually, what the prophet was telling her was not because he was hungry. He was teaching her to convert her food into a seed  that God will convert fruitful field  of blessings.

As she obeyed the prophet, what she thought to be the edge, God turned it around to be a new chapter of supernatural abundance for her life.

A WORD FOR YOU TODAY :

Are you going through the same situation ? Are you in a place where you have nothing to hold on to that will allow you to have hope? Are you eating what is for you your last meal today?

God says to you today, "STOP BEING ONLY AN EATER. START BEING A SOWER AND AN  INVESTOR. EVEN IN THE MIDST OF LACK OR POVERTY OR FAMINE, YOU CAN STILL SOW. THEREFORE, SOW IN HIS KINGDOM. SOW IN HIS SERVANTS. SOW IN OTHERS. WAIT AND SEE WHAT HE WILL DO FOR YOU"

MY CONFESSIONS TODAY . . .

# I declare today that my God will make a way where there seems to be no way in the Name of Jesus Christ!

# I declare today that my God empowers me to rise above fear, doubt, discouragement, hopelessness to reach my God given destiny in the Name of Jesus Christ!

# Whatever could not stop Israel in their journey to the promise land will not be able to stop me in my journey to my promise land. Whatever could not stop my Lord Jesus Christ in fulfilling his mission on the earth will not be able to stop me as well. I therefore declare today that I am unstoppable in the Name of Jesus Christ!

MY PERSONAL SUPPLICATION PRAYER TODAY . . .

Read Job 42:2  "I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you." and turn the faith declarations into your personal supplication ...

 SO SHALL IT BE!

JESUS IS LORD!
