# Prayer of faith is the platform of escape from premature death
From Scriptures, it is established that premature death is death in a young age.
In Psalms 102:24, a young psalmist was praying God to not take him away from the earth prematurely. God granted his request. He said in his prayer,
"I said, O my God, take me not away in the middle of my days: your years are throughout all generations."
When the prophet Isaiah came to announce king Hezekiah his death, the Bible says that Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying
"Remember now, O LORD, I beseech you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight. And Hezekiah wept sore." (Isaiah 38:3)
In response to his prayer, God himself cancelled and added 15 more years to his life as we can read in verse 4
"Thus said the LORD, the God of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears: behold, I will add to your days fifteen years." (Isaiah 38:4)
