⏩ COVENANT OF THE OUTSTRETCHED HAND OF GOD ⏪ DAY 22 "WAIT FOR THE LORD . . . DON'T TRY TO TWIST HIS HAND"

There is nothing painful and dramatic in someone's life than to be forgotten. To be forgotten in life equals to remain in obscurity, in prison and in the shadow of death.

The good news is that even if people easily forget, others, God never forgets his people as it is written in Isaiah 49:15,
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee”

FORGOTTEN BY MEN BUT REMEMBERED BY GOD

Remembrance has played and always plays a big role in changing people's stories.

After interpreting the butler's dream, Joseph tried to twist the hand of God for his liberty from the prison. In Genesis 40:14, he is requesting the butler to remember him and mention him to the Pharaoh,
"But think on me when it shall be well with you, and show kindness, I pray you, to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house"
Unfortunately, Joseph was forgotten in prison and stayed there for two years as it is written in Genesis 40:23,
"Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him."
It was only when God remembered Joseph that the Pharaoh was troubled in his dream and the butler's memory was triggered  to remember what Joseph did for him. At that specific moment, God's hand was stretched and brought Joseph out of the prison as the Bible says in Genesis 41:14,
"Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in to Pharaoh."
THE SECRET BEHIND JOSEPH'S REMEMBRANCE

Despite the pain, the sorrow and the hardship, Joseph understood that it was better for him to wait patiently for God to fulfill by himself His promise at his own time. The Bible says in Psalms 105:19,
"Until the time that HIS WORD came: the word of the LORD tried him."
Brethren, take note of the fact that when God gives you a promise, it is him to fulfil it, not you. You do not need to twist his hand. You do not need to manipulate anybody.

All you need is to wait patiently for the Lord to bring to pass whatever he has promised you.
"I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry." (Psalms 40:1)
"Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass." (Psalms 37:7)

MY PRAYERS TODAY

1) Are you in pain for being rejected by someone? Pray for grace from heaven to be healed by your faith in the  love of God for you.
"And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him." (1 John 4:16)
2) Are you in the waiting process for the fulfilment of the promise of the Lord in your life? Pray for grace to wait patiently without grumbling or murmuring.
"Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Murmur not among yourselves." (John 6:43)
3) Are you tempted to become manipulative trying to twist the hand of the Lord like Joseph? Repent before the Father and pray that he will forgive you and grant you the grace for strong faith to trust him fully.
"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform." (Romans 4:20-21)

MY CONFESSIONS TODAY

1) Declare and confess with faith that this season is the season of remembrance for you in the Name of Jesus Christ.

2) Declare and confess with faith that this season is the season whereby you will be out of your prison in the Name of Jesus Christ!

SO SHALL IT BE
🔃 🔃 🔃 🔃 🔃 🔃 🔃 🔃 🔃
