⏩ COVENANT OF THE OUTSTRETCHED HAND OF GOD ⏪ DAY 17 "GOD'S MIGHTY HAND"

IT IS WRITTEN in Psalms 89:13 :

"You have a mighty arm: strong is your hand, and high is your right hand.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD?

1st thing : God’s mighty hand gives riches, honor, greatness and strength 

1 Chronicles 29:12 Both riches and honor come of you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength to all.

2nd thing : God’s mighty hand draws men from far country to his house

2 Chronicles 6:32 Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of your people Israel, but is come from a far country for your great name’s sake, and your mighty hand, and your stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;

3rd thing : God's mighty hand is a gathering hand 

Ezekiel 20:34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. 

4th thing : God's mighty hand is the hand Pharaoh cannot resist

Exodus 3:19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

Deuteronomy 6:21 Then you shall say to your son, We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:

5th thing : God's mighty hand is the hand of signs and wonders

Deuteronomy 26:8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

WHAT HAPPEN WHEN THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD IS AT WORK?

1. People fear the Lord

Joshua 4:24 That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that you might fear the LORD your God for ever.

2. People bow before the Lord

1 Samuel 4:8 Woe to us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.

HUMILITY IS THE KEY . . . 

The mighty hand of God answers to humility in the heart as the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:6 

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
