SCRIPTURE
EPHESIANS 1:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
According to this text, Paul gives unto us 4 precious truths that help us understand the exceeding greatness power of resurrection:
o 1st truth: The power of His resurrection is the highest realm of power, and it is accessible by knowledge. Paul calls it “the exceeding greatness of his power” or “the unlimited greatness of his power”.
Ephesians 1:19 "You will also know the unlimited greatness of his power as it works with might and strength for us, the believers."
o 2nd truth: The exceeding greatness power is not just the exclusive preserve of the apostles, evangelists, pastors and teachers alone; it is available to everyone that believes.
Ephesians 1:19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
o 3rd truth: The exceeding greatness power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is the same God makes available for the believers.
Ephesians 1:19-20 PHILIPS “That power is the same divine energy which was demonstrated in Christ when he raised him from the dead and gave him the place of highest honour in Heaven —
Ephesians 1:20 GWV He worked with that same power in Christ when he brought him back to life and gave him the highest position in heaven.
o 4th truth: The exceeding greatness power does not only raise from the dead but also positions the believer far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Ephesians 1:21 "...Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come"
APPLICATION AND PRAYERS
PRINCIPLE 1 : ANYTIME A HIGHER POWER SHOWS UP LESSER POWERS HAVE TO BOW DOWN. I THEREFORE COMMAND ANY POWER CHALLENGING YOUR LIFE TO BOW DOWN IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
PRAYER 1 | Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing to me today the highest realm of your power. I command anything challenging my life to bow down now in Jesus Name!
PRINCIPLE 2 : ANYTHING AVAILABLE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE THROUGH FAITH. THE GREATER THE FAITH THE GREATER THE ACCESS.
PRAYER 2 | Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to grow in my faith so that I will have great access in the exceeding greatness of your power in Jesus' Name!
PRINCIPLE 3 : WHATEVER WAS NOT ABLE TO HOLD JESUS WILL ALSO NOT BE ABLE TO HOLD YOU.
PRAYER 3 | Heavenly Father, the same way sickness, poverty, opposition, condemnation, critics, insults, humiliations and death could not hold Jesus Christ, I pray today that you will grant me the grace to believe also that none of those things will be able to hold my life.
PRINCIPLE 4 : THE EXCEEDING GREATNESS OF RESURRECTION DOES NOT ONLY SET YOU ABOVE BUT ALSO SET YOU FAR ABOVE ALL THE POWERS OF DARKNESS PUT TOGETHER. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING ABOVE AND BEING FAR ABOVE IS SIMPLE : WHEN YOU ARE ABOVE YOU CAN BE REACHED BUT WHEN YOU ARE FAR ABOVE YOU ARE UNREACHABLE.
PRAYER 4 | Heavenly Father, I say thank you for the grace to be positionned far above all principality, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
SO SHALL IT BE
