⏩ COVENANT OF INFALLIBLE PROOFS ⏪ DAY 22 "STOP BEING IGNORANT ... THE DEVIL IS NOT STUPID"

Paul says in 2 Corinthians 2:11 "I don’t want Satan to outwit us. After all, we are not ignorant about Satan’s scheming."

The particular area where the devil challenges you in your life is exactly the area where there is a specific Word from the Lord for you. Being ignorant of it is giving the devil advantage over you.

From Scriptures, I have come to realize that the devil is not a stupid devil as many might imagine or declare. The Bible in Genesis 3:1 identifies him as subtle.

Whenever he comes to challenge a believer, he never does it anyhow or anywhere. He always targets the area where there is a specific spoken Word. Why? The reason is simple. Because he is much aware of Ecclesiastes 8:4 which declares that “where the word is there is power”.

Let us go back to the Bible to confirm that with some facts:

1st fact: In garden Eden

God gave a clear and non ambiguous Word to Adam in the garden Eden.
Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
At the place where the Lord spoke, exactly at the same the devil came to challenge Eve.
Genesis 3:1-4 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

2nd fact: Jesus in the wilderness

God spoke to Jesus with a loud voice in front of many people assisting to his baptism.
Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Exactly at the same place where God had spoken and established clearly Jesus as his Son, the devil comes to challenge the Word saying,
Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Matthew 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

As it appears in the 2 cases mentioned, the particular area of challenge in your life is where there is a specific Word from the Lord for you.

WHAT TO DO?

1) KNOW THE SPECIFIC WORD OF GOD SPOKEN CONCERNING YOU
"Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea." (Joshua 14:6)

2) FIGHT FOR THE SPECIFIC WORD OF GOD SPOKEN CONCERNING YOU
"This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare" (1 Timothy 1:18)

APPROPRIATE THOSE WORDS OF GOD WITH FAITH AND PRAY

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

God has not given me a spirit of fear. He gives me power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7).

I am God’s servant and He takes pleasure in my prosperity (Psalm 35:27).

I meditate on God’s word day and night. I am successful and prosperous (Psalm 1:2-3, Joshua 1:8).

Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for me (Galations 3:13).

The God of hope fills me with all joy and peace in believing so that I abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).

The Lord of peace is peace. In every way, He always gives me His peace (2 Thessalonians 3:16).

I always rejoice and pray without ceasing. In everything, I give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for me (I Thessalonians 5:16-18).

I do all things without grumbling or complaining so that I will prove myself to be blameless and innocent. I am a child of God who is above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom I appear as lights in the world (Philippians 2:14-15).

I hold fast to the word of life. In the day of Christ’s return, I will have reason to glory because I did not run or labor in vain (Philippians 2:16).

I always rejoice in the Lord and my gentleness (graciousness or forbearance) is known to all people (Philippians 4:4,5).

I am anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving I let my requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard my hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

I choose to meditate on anything that has virtue or is praiseworthy. I think about things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8).

I press on, that I may lay hold of that which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:12-14).

The Lord is my God! He is mighty to save. He rejoices over me with gladness and singing. I am quieted by His love (Zephaniah 3:17).

God instructs me and keeps me as the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8).

The LORD has chosen me for Himself as His special treasure (Psalm 135:4).

I persist in speaking God’s word until it accomplishes its purpose. It is like fire. It is like a hammer that shatters a rock (Jeremiah 23:29).

God redeems my life from the pit. He crowns me with lovingkindness and compassion (Psalm 103:4).

God satisfies my mouth with good things and renews my youth like the eagles’ (Psalm 103:5).

Christ bore my sins in His own body on the cross and I am healed by His stripes (1 Peter 2:24).
