⏩ COVENANT OF MARVELS ⏪ DAY 3 "MARVELS MAKE NOISE BY THEMSELVES"

 KEY STATEMENT

When in Exodus 34:10 God says "I will do marvels…”, he makes the purpose clear : “… that the people shall see the work of the Lord”.

I. ISRAEL CROSSED THE RED SEA WITHOUT ANNOUNCING IT TO ANYBODY BUT EVERYBODY KNEW IT. WHY? BECAUSE MARVELS MAKE NOISE BY THEMSELVES.

When the Lord parted the Red Sea and the River Jordan for his people to cross, the news was spread in all the countries around until they were all afraid of Israel. Here is the testimony of Rahab to the spies sent by Joshua to spy Jericho.

In Joshua 2:9-10, she says unto the men how they feel intimidated by the marvels they have heard

, “I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

In Joshua 2:10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, …Joshua 2:11 And as soon as we had heard [these things], our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he [is] God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

II. ELISABETH NEVER ADVERTISED THE BIRTH OF HER SON JOHN. BUT THE NEWS WAS SPREAD AS FAR AS ALL THE HILL COUNTRY OF JUDEA. WHY? BECAUSE MARVELS MAKE NOISE BY THEMSELVES.

  

Elisabeth was barren for many years. She was so old that she was a reproach in her society. When the Lord visited her and opened her womb, He took away her reproach and gave her a son called John. When she brought him forth, it was noised both in the city and in the family that “Elisabeth the barren has brought forth a baby boy at her old age”.

We read it in Luke 1:57-58, “Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 58 And her neighbors and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

The noise grew louder because when John was born, another marvel took place. His father who was mute for the last 9 months, his tongue was loosed, and he was able to speak again. As he was praising the Lord, that last marvel spread the noise beyond the neighbors and the cousins to the mountain region of Judea.

We read this in Luke 1:64-65 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God. 65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.

III. THE 120 DISCIPLES GATHERED IN THE UPPER ROOM NEVER ADVERTISED THE LAUNCHING OF THE CHURCH. BUT WHEN THE SOUND CAME FROM HEAVEN, THE NEWS WAS NOISED ABROAD ATTRACTING MULTITUDE. WHY? BECAUSE MARVELS MAKE NOISE BY THEMSELVES.

The disciples of Jesus were praying in the upper room waiting patiently for the fulfillment of the promise of the Holy Spirit. For 50 days, they were praying intensely and noiselessly.

But in the 50^th day, the Bible says in Acts 2:2 that “there was a sound from heaven…”.

In Acts 2:4, we read that “… they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues…”.

In Acts 2:6, the Bible continues to say that “… this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

In Acts 2:7, we read finally that, “… they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans?

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND 

PRAYERS

PRAYER 1 | Father, we pray that your mighty hand will perform mighty works in our lives so that every knee should bow down before the authority and power of Jesus Christ and every mouth confesses that You are Mighty!

Daniel 2:46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.

PRAYER 2 | Father, we pray that you grant your servants to be promoted in their various areas of endeavour for the glory and honor of your name.

Daniel 3:30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

PRAYER 3 | Father, we pray that you grant us an excellent spirit causing me to rise above every stituation of life.

Daniel 5:12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.

SO SHALL IT BE!
