⏩ COVENANT OF MARVELS ⏪ DAY 23 "NOW, IT IS NOT YOUR TURN. IT IS YOUR TIME"

SCRIPTURE

Isaiah 60:1  "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee."

KEY STATEMENT

When the Bible says "ARISE AND SHINE"…we can notice that there are two parts: the first part is ARISE and the second part is SHINE. Those two parts are linked and the second depends on the first. It means that if you want to shine, you must stand up, you must arise, you must wake up, you must get our of your bed. Which means consequently that if you don’t stand up, you will not shine.

In the other side, to shine refers to a lifestyle, a standard of living God calls his children to live in this world. It’s not optional. It’s not a suggestion. Rather, it’s a command, an order, a must, a decree as it is written in Psalms 68:28,

"God has decreed that you will be powerful."

When God gives an order, a command to someone to do something, he also enables him to do this thing. So when God says, “Arise”, “Shine”, those words have in themselves the power of their fulfillment. It means by yourself you have no power to arise and to shine unless by God’s power.

When God says “Arise”, “Shine”, he doesn’t need your help. He has enough power to make it done in your life.

Because power doesn’t come from you, you have no reason, you have no excuse, you have no explanation, you have no pretext, you have no justification. NOW IT IS NOT YOUR TURN BUT IT IS YOUR TIME TO ARISE AND SHINE.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR TURN AND YOUR TIME?

As we continue our meditation over this 38 years paralyzed man, we notice that this man was waiting his turn instead of waiting his time. When Jesus appeared to him, it was already his time but he was still waiting his turn. Here is what he says to Jesus,

"... while I am coming, another steppeth down before me." (John 6:7)

There is a clear difference between "your turn" and "your time". 

a) YOUR TURN CAN BE TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU. YOUR TIME CANNOT.

When it’s your turn, someone can break line in front of you and take it from you. 

When it's your time, God himself breaks line and protocols to grant you the desire of your heart.

When this man met Jesus Christ, he was complaining that others were breaking line in front of him ann taking his turn from him. Here is what he says, "... while I am coming, another steppeth down before me..."

b) YOUR TURN DEPENDS ON YOU. YOUR TIME DEPENDS ON GOD

When it is your turn, it’s predicated on your abilities, skills, resources, and what you can see. 

When it’s your time, God’s ability is the basis, along with heaven’s resources, his power, his expertise, and what you cannot see but believe.

The reason why people were breaking line in front of him was because they were faster than him, they had more abilities and skills than him, they had more resources than him.

But when his time came, his abilities, his skills and his resources became irrelevant because Jesus Christ the Son of God appeared to him and empowered him to do what no man could have ever done for and to him.

c) YOUR TURN CAN BE MANIPULATED. YOUR TIME CANNOT.

A turn can be stolen from you or taken away from you or delayed by men by reason of their manipulations.

When it's your time, no devil in hell, no witch in darkness can take it away from you because it is the blessing that God is giving you.

For long, this man would not make it simply because he was not smart enough to overtake the people who were not giving him any chance to emerge in life.

When his time came, without any drop of water on his body, he was granted a miracle. The Pharisees and the religious leaders went mad at him but there was nothing they could do to change what has beed done by the Master.

CONCLUSION 

My friend, no matter what the devil and his demons can do, the Lord is telling you today that “It’s your time.” This season cannot be forfeited because he is the One granting it to you. The blessing that God is giving you, the devil cannot do anything about it. The enemy cannot sabotage, hinder, nor prevent God from doing what he has previously decided, in his mind, to do for you. So shall it be in Jesus' name!

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS

PRAYER 1| FATHER, I AM GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL THAT I AM IN YOUR HAND. I AM GRATEFUL AND CONFIDENT THAT NOW IS MY TIME AND THAT NOBODY WILL PLUCK ME OUT OF YOUR HAND IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !

John 10:28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand."

PRAYER 2| FATHER, I PRAY THAT YOU WILL GRANT ME GRACE TO RELY ON YOUR POWER AND MIGHT NOT ON MINE. 

Zechariah 4:6-7 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

PRAYER 3| FATHER, I AM GRATEFUL THAT YOU HAVE DECREED THAT I WILL BE POWERFUL. I BELIEVE AND I DECLARE THAT NOW IS MY TIME. I THEREFORE PRAY THAT YOUR POWER WILL BE MANIFEST IN AND THROUGH ME IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

Psalms 68:28 "God has decreed that you will be powerful."
