*SUNDAY : Unexpected Helpers Sunday Service*

                                                                                                                          

*📖 Scripture:*

“Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.”

*—1 Chronicles 12:1 KJV*

                                                                                                                                     

● David was in hiding — broken, weary, and uncertain of his future. He wasn’t sitting on a throne; he was dodging Saul’s threats. Yet, during this wilderness season, mighty warriors showed up. Why? To follow a fugitive. It doesn’t make sense — unless you factor in God.

                                                                                                                                     

● God often sends help in the most unexpected seasons, through the most unexpected people. These men didn’t come when David was enthroned, they came when he was exiled. They didn’t show up to celebrate his victory, but to fight with him in his valley.

                                                                                                                           

● Sometimes we want help only after the breakthrough. But God proves His faithfulness before the victory — through people who show up in your wilderness. These are not just people; they are God’s answers to prayer, disguised in human form. As David prayed for deliverance (Psalm 59), God stirred hearts, even among Saul’s tribe, to rise and assist the man they were expected to oppose.           

*Reflection*

🧠Who are the unexpected helpers God has placed in your life? Don’t dismiss people because of their background, appearance, or timing. God’s ways are higher. Be open. Be discerning. And be grateful.

                                                                                                                      *Prayer*

🙏Lord, open my eyes to recognize the unexpected help You send. Teach me not to judge by appearance or history, but to see Your divine hand at work. Let me welcome Your helpers with wisdom and gratitude. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
