Reading Of The Day : Luke 2
Key Verse: “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” (Luke 2:10)
Luke 2 narrates Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem’s manger, announced by angels to shepherds—social outcasts turned first witnesses.
The heavenly host proclaims peace, and the shepherds joyfully spread the news. Mary treasures these moments, while Simeon and Anna, faithful elders in the temple, recognize the infant Messiah as “a light for revelation” (2:32).
Jesus grows in wisdom and favor, foreshadowing His mission.
The chapter contrasts divine glory with earthly humility, showing God’s heart for the marginalized.
Word Of Encouragement: “Simeon held the Messiah and declared, ‘I can now die in peace’ (Luke 2:29). Cling to hope—your promise is worth waiting for!”
