THE 7 ALTARS BUILT BY ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB | THRS 20-02-2025 | THE ALTAR OF MORIJAH

THE 7 ALTARS BUILT BY ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB | THRS 20-02-2025 | THE ALTAR OF MORIJAH

Genesis 22:9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

Abraham's journey to Mount Moriah was more than just traveling to a place; it was a deep spiritual journey. He had to trust God completely, even when asked to sacrifice his son, Isaac. The spot on Mount Moriah where he was to build an altar was chosen by God (thus the meaning of Moriah in Hebrew), highlighting the importance of following God's instructions.

Abraham's faith is prominent in this narrative, but Isaac's role is equally significant. Despite being over 100 years old, Abraham could not have physically overpowered a vigorous Isaac, who some scholars suggest was in his thirties. Isaac's willingness to comply and be bound on the altar exemplifies his deep faith and obedience, mirroring the later sacrifice of Christ.

Just as Isaac carried the wood for his own sacrifice up the mountain, Jesus carried the cross to Calvary. The parallels between the two stories are striking and intentional, showing the continuity and depth of God's plan for salvation.

PROPHETIC PROCLAMATIONS

Just as God provided a ram for Abraham to replace Isaac on the altar, I prophecy over you that, as you willingly obey divine instruction, your needs will be met in ways you might not anticipate.

Just as Abraham’s obedience led to blessings for generations, I decree over you that by your actions of faith today, you will be a generational blessing to many in the Name Of Jesus Christ!

Like Isaac, who was willing to be bound on the altar, I pray for you to receive a heart and spirit willing to obey divine instruction. in the Name Of Jesus Christ!
