THE 7 ALTARS BUILT BY ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB | MON 17-02-2025 | THE ALTAR OF SICHEM
Genesis 12:7: "And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him."
This verse marks a crucial moment in the biblical narrative, where there is a profound and personal encounter between God and Abram. In this encounter, God promises Abram that the land will belong to his descendants. This appearance underscores the intimate relationship between God and Abram.
In response to God's promise, despite the Canaanites' presence in the land, Abram builds an altar to the LORD. This act serves as a memorial and marker of faith. It symbolizes worship, thanksgiving, praise, and an unwavering belief in God's power to fulfill His promises.
Journaling Your Journey
How do you respond to the promises of God in your life? Do you have spiritual markers to remind you of His promises?
Do you maintain a journal to record instances where you’ve encountered God, witnessed the fulfillment of His promises, or received answers to your prayers?
Call to action : Journaling Exercise
If you don’t already keep a journal, consider starting one. Write about your experiences of God’s faithfulness, the prayers that have been answered, and promises you are holding onto. This not only helps to strengthen your faith but also serves as a powerful reminder of God’s unwavering presence and love in your life.
Embrace the opportunity to reflect on your journey and deepen your relationship with God. GIVE HIM THE PRAISE !
