● Barak is a verb that is most commonly associated with bowing (or kneeling) and blessing.
● In Barak worship, we kneel before God to adore Him. This form of worship is deeply respectful, honouring God and recognising His position as King of Kings.
● As stated in Philippians 2:10, "God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee must bow!"
● Sing today: "Bow down and worship Him. Jesus, the King of Kings. Worship Him. Oh, worship Him. Consuming fire. Sweet perfume. His awesome presence fills this place. For this is holy ground. So come and bow down!"
● In Luke 8:26–35, we encounter a man possessed by demons known as Legion (for they were many). Upon seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell down before Him.
● The Legion within him not only begged Jesus not to torment them but also fled when commanded to go. The man was left whole, healed, and in his right mind.
● Whatever troubles you, if it has a name, as you barak (bow down) before the Lord, it must bow today to the name of Jesus Christ!
