Exploring the 7 Types of Worship in the Bible | TOWDAH PRAISE | Monday 03-02-2025

● This week, I will explore 7 types of worship in the Bible: towdah, yadah, barak, shabach, zamar, halal, and thillah.
● Today, I want to explore the first word for "praise," which is towdah. This term signifies praising God for things that have not yet been received.
● When I turn to the Scriptures, in 1 Peter 1:8, Peter says, "... though now you see Christ not, yet you believe and you rejoice with joy unspeakable..."
● What is joy unspeakable? It is, by definition, the joy of faith and hope. It is the joy that is not affected by your current situation. It is the joy for the things you have not yet seen physically but believe firmly in your heart that you have them already.
● So, today, towdah God for two things:
- For the things He has done
- For the things He has not yet done but you know He will do.
● In what areas of your life do you need to demonstrate towdah? Are you praising God, or are you holding back because you haven’t yet seen enough? If that’s the case, remember these words: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 (ESV)
● So today, towdah Him.
