 TUESDAY 21-01-2025 | Our thoughts are the seeds of our actions

Consider the wisdom found in Proverbs 4:23, which instructs us, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." 

This command is not merely about protection; it’s a call to cultivate a heart that reflects God’s will. Our thoughts are the seeds of our actions. 

If we sow seeds of doubt, jealousy, or lust, we cannot expect to harvest peace, joy, or righteousness as Paul states beautifully in Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

1. Repentance from Evil Thoughts

   

Lord, I confess any evil thoughts and desires that have taken root in my heart. Transform my mind and heart to align with Your will, and help me to think thoughts that are pure and pleasing to You.

2. Renewal of the Mind

Heavenly Father, renew my mind and help me to discern what is good, acceptable, and perfect according to Your will. Let my thoughts reflect Your holiness and righteousness.

3. Guarding the Heart and Mind

Father, guard my heart and mind against the temptations of evil. Give me the strength to resist evil plans and to keep my intentions pure and focused on serving You.

4. Desiring God’s Will

Lord, instill in me a deep desire to seek Your will above all else. May my actions and thoughts be a reflection of Your love and truth.
