Hebrews 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
Imagine this scene: a group of people, facing what seems like an insurmountable wall, yet they obey God’s command to shout! They did not shout out of fear, but rather out of faith. They were proclaiming what they believed was already theirs. Their shout was a declaration of victory before they even saw it.
The Bible records that the walls of Jericho fell flat when the Israelites shouted in unity. Notice that:
1- The Israelites shouted before the walls fell.
2- The walls fell after the shout of faith.
3- The Israelites had to shout to see the victory.
Likewise, when we encounter walls—be it sickness, poverty, or oppression—we're called to shout in faith. As we shout praise to God, we're not denying these walls; we're denying their power over us. We're declaring that our God is bigger than any obstacle we face.
