OPENING PRAYERS
Shekinah greetings Word of Life.
Welcome to the morning altar of prayer this day. The joy of the Lord is our strength on daily basis and we just give him the praise and the glory.
Now lift your voice where you are. Celebrate Him for the gift of a new day.
Father thank you for this day you have given unto us by your grace. We worship your holy name. We adore you oh God. We bless your name.
Jesus receive the praise this morning. Oh God receive the glory, receive the adoration due to you in the name of Jesus the Christ the son of God we have prayed and we pray that you minister to us again today.
Talk to us by your word and let your name be glorified. In Jesus name we have prayed and we all say amen and Amen. Glory to God.
Ruth chapter two verse one is the main Scripture we are discussing about this week.
The Bible says concerning Boaz,"And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband a mighty man of wealth of the family of Elimelek and his name was Boaz".
I want you to know and to underline something in verse 1 ... Family of Elibalek...
It is amazing to see that the family of Elimelek is mentioned because Boaz and Elimelek they were all together in the same family. But here we see Boaz was was a man of wealth. Elimelek was also wealthy. Boaz is described as mighty. Elimelek was also mighty. But he lost his might. And I am so amazed to how this man of God Elimelek died in a foreign land.
Meaning in another word that the case of Boaz was totally different.
I want to tell somebody this morning that what has happened to your family line will not happen to you.
I just want to tell somebody this morning that you are not bound to repeat what happened to your family line, to your family members, to the people you are sharing the same blood with.
You are not doomed to repeat the same pattern that has destroyed the family line.
And I want to you to know today that your case is different. What has destroyed your family line, what has affected your family line will not affect you in the name of Jesus Christ the Son of the living God.
There is what we call the family rope. The family rope that rope that links, that binds the whole family.
And I want you to know again today that it is very much possible according to what we see in the life of Boaz for you to break free from evil family rope because there are ropes in families which are practically evil.
But for you Word of Life or even if you are not in the Word of Life, but you are following the teachings I'm providing this week, for you I declare and I decree your case is different in the name of Jesus Christ.
I was saying for you your case is different. If in the family line everyone is getting stuck, everybody is having the same problem, issues in marriage, issues in relationship, everybody in the family has the same problem, I declare and I decree for you it will be different. Because your case is different.
6 WEAPONS FOR YOU TO BREAK FREE FROM EVIL FAMILY ROPES.
What are the weapons you need for you to break free from the evil family ropes?
Jdg 15:1 But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.
Jdg 15:2 And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
Jdg 15:3 And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.
Jdg 15:4 And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.
Jdg 15:5 And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.
Jdg 15:6 Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.
Jdg 15:7 And Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
Jdg 15:8 And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.
Jdg 15:9 Then the Philistines went up, and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi.
Jdg 15:10 And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.
Jdg 15:11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
Jdg 15:12 And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
Jdg 15:13 And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
Jdg 15:14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.
Jdg 15:15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.
Jdg 15:16 And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.
Jdg 15:17 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi.
Jdg 15:18 And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?
Jdg 15:19 But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day.
Jdg 15:20 And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.
It is a story which I believe you know very well. It is the story of Samson.
Now, before I talk about Samson let me go back to Boaz. Boaz is a man who come from a family ah the tribe of Judah. because it is clear that he come from the tribe of Judah.
You can find it when you go to Mathew chapter number one starting from verse one to five you will see that Judah ah beget Perez, Perez beget Solomon, Solomon beget Boaz.
So if it is true that Boaz comes from the tribe of Judah, it is also true that Elimelek was from the tribe of Judah.
So the family of Elimelek is from the tribe of Judah.
There is something I just want to draw your attention about concerning the tribe of Judah.
When you go to Genesis chapter thirty-eight you will find out that Judah had a serious problem.
In Genesis 38:1, the Bible says that Judah departed from his brethren.
And when he departed from his brethren, in verse 2, he went to marry a Canaanite woman.
So when we talk about the family rope, please understand that it is that rope that ties the family line. You see?
The same way Judah left his brothers and went to marry another woman, we see also if you can put it back to back that the same pattern happened to Elimelek also. Like his ancestor Judah, he also moved from Bethlehem to Moab and had problems.
When Judah went to marry that Canaanite, he had three children. And out of those 3 children, 2 died : Er and Onan. Those 2 left one widow called Tamar.
When you go to Elimelek, you will also find that the moment they moved from Bethlehem to Moab, you will also notice that two children of Elimelek died also.
I don't think that it is just a coincidence.
We see also another thing concerning Judah. That is the second thing I want to mention.
We see Judah having a pattern of immorality. He was a lustful man.
We see him sleeping with this Canaanite and we see also Tamar pretended to be a prostitute in Genesis 38:15-17. Judah went to her as if he was going to a prostitute.
And we continue and we will see another pattern that I notice in the lineage when we go down to Elimelek.
Listen to this. When you go to Matthew 1:5, the Bible says that Boaz had a mother called Rahab and she was a prostitute. BUt she had faith in the God of Israel and she entered into the lineage of Israel.
She became the mother of Boaz and down the line she became also the ancestor of Christ.
So that is a pattern.
And then when you go again, you look at the genealogy, you go down a little bit, you will find David also had the same problem. You know the story of David.
David was among his brethren. They were going together and fighting the battles of the Lord.
But you will see David, the story of David, the same way the father Judah departed from the brethren and found himself in trouble, the same way Elimelek departed from Bethlehem and found himself in trouble, the same way we see David also departing from his people and remaining behind.
The moment he remained behind, the same pattern is following also David and the bible says that he slept with Bathsheba.
Judah departed slept with the Canaanite found himself in trouble. Elimelek departed to Moab and found himself in trouble.
We see David also departing and having affair with the Bathsheba with also the same problem.
And I see again the same pattern in the life of David and it went a bit further because David lost four children. You know the story I don't want to come back there.
Now I want to ask you a question. Do you really think that it is a coincidence? If at all it is a coincidence.
Because there are people who say, "Oh well those preachers are forcing things and want things to fit their theology and so forth".
My friend, can it be a coincidence?
But when we come to Boaz, that is why I say my case is different. We see the case of Boaz being totally and practically different.
Friend, you are not bound to repeat the same things. You are not bound to repeat the same patterns that have ever happened in your family line.
But you need to come to that realization that the family ropes are real.
Listen. Those are spiritual matters.
When you look at the story of Moses, when Jacob was blessing his children, he says something in Genesis 49:5, "Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitation".
Do you think that it is a coincidence?
When you look at Levi and Simeon, anger and cruelty were found in their habitation indeed.
Those 2 individuals burnt the whole city of Sichem because their sister was raped by a man called Sichem. (Genesis 34:25-26).
When you go to the life of Moses, the Bible says very clearly that Moses is from the house of Levi.
And you know how Moses was a powerful man. He was a man of God. He was a man of power. He was a man of great destiny. He was a very smart man. Yet look at what happened to his life.
Moses the man of God had an anger issue. He broke the table at the end of the 40 days of praying on the mountain. (Exodus 32:19).
And God told him, "My friend, you are going back again". He went again two times 40 days. And he spent 40 more days making it 80 days on the mountain fasting.
So you understand that he was fasting. Yes. But there was that family rope that was in him and that he was not delivered from.
Well. As if it were not enough, he reached the end of 40 years where he was to enter into the promised land.
Again, that family rope, that evil power in the father's house caught up with him. He got angry again and he was not able to enter into the promised land.
God told him (I paraphrase), "You know my friend, I gave you time but it looks like you are taking me for granted. You won't enter."
in Deuteronomy 3:25-26, he pleaded with God, but the Bible says, "But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter".
Please tell me that that anger in Moses and what happened to him twice was a coincidence.
I don't want to talk much about Moses. My focus is on the tribe of Judah.
And I am so amazed to see how the man of God Boaz was exempted and his case was different.
At this particular time, Boaz, despite his old age was not married and did not have any relationship with any woman. I don't know why he was not married. Did he have previous relationships? I don't know but something that shows that he was not married was when he found Ruth, he married her.
It is an encouragement just to let you know that it can also be your case. You can be exempted from whatever is happening in your family line, but you need to know what are the weapons that will help you be free from those evil family ropes.
That is why I provided to you the illustration of Samson.
The Bible says that 3000 men of Judah came to him. Why did they come? What did they come to do ? They came to bind him.
WEAPON 1 | ACKNOWLEDGE AND BE AWARE THAT YOU HAVE A GREAT DESTINY.
Why did they come to bind Samson? Samson as you know, when the angel came to the mother to talk to her about the destiny of Samson, it was very clear that Samson had a great destiny.
Judges 13:4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
Judges 13:5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
And everybody who has a great destiny will have to face the reality of those family ropes.
When you listen to the blessings from his father, you will understand that Judah had a great destiny. Let us read ...
Genesis 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
Genesis 49:9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
Genesis 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
But look at the life Judah had. It was totally and completely different from the greatness that was his portion.
That is why you need to acknowledge that you have a great destiny. You need to know your prophetic destiny and your prophetic calling.
And you remember again in the book of Matthew, in the genealogy of Jesus, I mentioned it during the teaching of the X-blessing.
From Abraham until Judah and from Judah until David, it will amaze you to know that from there were ten generations.
We can see that those ten generations were kind of under a curse. None of those people from the tribe of Judah was king and the first king was David.
But even if the the whole lineage was under that kind of a curse, it is amazing to see that Boaz was an exception.
It means that you can be in a family line where everybody is under a curse but you can be an exception. And I announce to you that you will be an exception. Can you say with me I will be an exception.
That is Boaz.
Know that you have a great destiny. Acknowledge and be aware of the greatness you have.
I strongly believe that the people we see here in town, those young men who are drunkards, who are living in prostitution carry great promises of God upon their lives.
Do you remember the story of the donkey that was tied at the entrance of the city in Matthew 21:2?
That donkey carried promises because in Zechariah 9:9, it is written, "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass".
That is why I want to announce to somebody today under the sound of my voice that your destiny will not pack up prematurely.
I want to declare over you that you will live to fulfil your destiny on this planet earth in the name of Jesus Christ.
You will live the life you were born to live in Jesus name.
And you know what? The amazing thing is that Boaz is the picture of Christ. So if you look at Boaz, you can see exactly the Christ because he's called a kinsman redeemer.
He was so powerful that he was able to redeem whatever has been destroyed and to deliver and restore whatever Naomi, Elimelek and their sons lost.
This is to show to you that this man was so powerful. This is to show to you that Jesus the son of the living God will enable you to live your destiny.
Knowing that you have a great destiny is a great weapon that you need for you to break free from the evil family rope.
I know I have a great destiny. It doesn't matter what is happening in my family line. I know I have a great destiny. And if you see me working the way I am working, I am working to fulfil my great destiny.
And you have to take responsibility of it. Nobody will do it for you.
WEAPON 2 | BE AWARE OF THE PATTERN OF THAT FAMILY ROPE.
Friend, the evil family rope is a reality. I'm talking about awareness.
You know? There are things that happen sometime and you will hear people saying, "Well. It has happened to others. It will not happen to me".
I don't disagree with you. But don't assume.
I met some people holding such declarations, but later, the exact thing happened to them.
You need that awareness. If in your family line for example everybody is a drunkard, or prostitute or have a particular challenge, you need to be aware of it.
Ignoring it is what I call deception.
In Matthew 10:36, the Bible says, "A man will have his own household as his enemies"
Who are the men who came to bind Samson? His own brothers.
Sometimes we are looking for the enemies outside. No. The enemy is inside.
Don't you see that there is a connection between what happened to Judah, what is happening to Elimelek, also what has happened to David and Solomon? May God open your eyes.
Me pastor Kasuku I am fully aware of the battles, of the giant from the place I am coming from. If it does not catch up with you, it will catch up with the children after you.
Be aware. When I say be aware, what I mean is be alert.
WEAPON NUMBER 3 | THE HOLY SPIRIT.
When you read the verse fifteen of chapter fifteen, the bible says that the Spirit of the Lord came over Samson and the ropes were broken.
You need the Holy Spirit. You can't break free from the evil family ropes by your own strength. You need the help of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will come upon you, as Jesus says, and you will be my witness.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will come upon you and all the evil ropes in your family will be broken.
You need the Holy Spirit. You need the Holy Spirit.
It is not in vain that Jesus says to his disciples (I paraphrase),
"Wait for the Holy Spirit because you can't do it on your own. You need the spirit of God". (Acts 1:4)
You know Paul was facing the same reality and that is why he said in Romans 7:24, "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?"
I pray that the Holy Spirit will minister to you right now that the evil ropes in your father's house will be broken in the name of Jesus Christ.
It happened in the life of Boaz and I believe it will also happen to you.
Don't forget that the name of Boaz means strength and the spirit of the Lord is identified as the spirit of might. So you can't overcome those family ropes unless you have the Holy Spirit.
If in your family line everybody stagnates, fornicates, lives in adultery, nobody is settled in marriage, nobody is succeeding, my friend, you need the Holy Spirit.
When the Spirit came upon Samson, the ropes were broken. (Judges 15:14)
Receive the Holy Spirit today in the name of Jesus Christ!
WEAPON NUMBER 4 | THE FIRE OF THE SPIRIT
The Bible says that those ropes were broken as if by fire (Judges 15:4)
Fire is important in the Bible.
When you read for example in Leviticus 6:13, the Bible says, "The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar, it shall never go out"
You need fire in your spiritual life.
My friend, you know the problem you have in your family line. But look how cold you are. There is no way you can overcome the family rope with a cold altar.
My friend. Be careful.
The Word of Life is the place where the fire is burning. We have the morning altar of prayers, the midnight praise, the kingdom advancement of prayer etc.
Those are opportunities given to you by God to keep your own altar on fire.
In Acts 28:3, we read, "When Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand".
You need fire to break those ropes.
In Proverbs 27:17, the Bible says, "Iron sharpeneth iron". You need to be in touch and connect to an altar that is on fire.
You need a man of God who is on fire, who can help you to keep yourself on fire. Otherwise you cannot make it.
Unfortunately, there are people who don't want to pray, to come to church. They always give lame excuses, "Ah I am busy".
My friend, wake up.
If my altar was not on fire. I am telling the truth I could have not been where I am.
WEAPON NUMBER FIVE | LOCATE THE JAWBONE.
After the rope was broken in Samson, he was able to see the jawbone. You know? There is something unique in your life. There is something unique that God has given unto you.
Remember. God gave different talents. Some five talents. Others two talents. And the other one talent.
Unfortunately, the one with one talent went to bury his (Matthew 25:18).
My friend, there is something unique that God has deposited in you which I call the jawbone.
The jawbone is what is what God has given to you. The jawbone is the five stones that were in the hand of David to kill Goliath. The jawbone is the rod that Moses had for him to part the Red Sea and for him to do the signs and the wonders that happened in his life. The jawbone is the grace, the unique grace.
My friend, you cannot break the family rope in your life without the grace of God.
That is why if there is something I can treasure in my life, it is the grace of God. That is why Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:10, "By the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."
My friend, treasure the grace.
You need to know the unique grace that you have. Not only that you also need to connect to the unique grace that you need in your life.
And the Bible talks about the new jawbone (Judges 15:15). That is what Samson took to defeat the family rope.
And it is very much unfortunate that there are some people that will die without knowing the grace, without experiencing the power that is in the grace.
The ministry I'm doing is by the grace of God. If I am I am who I am today, it is by the grace. If it were not the grace of God I could have not been where I am.
The grace is the weapon you need to break free.
WEAPON 6 | THE SUPERNATURAL
You see? Samson was able to kill thousand people at once (Judges 15:15).
I want to announce to you as I'm closing today that what your family line was not able to do in 1, 000 years, you will be able to do it.
When you look at the life of Boaz, Boaz is the man of God from which the king David came. And he is one of the rarest people in the Bible who married a foreigner Ruth and became the ancestor of Christ.
It will not happen by your might or by your strength, but by the spirit of God.
That is why the Bible says, "Not by might, not by power, but by the Spirit of the Almighty God".
Did you understand the six weapons for you to break free from the evil family's rope? It happened to Samson it will also happen to you if you believe.
My friend, connect to the altar. My friend , come to church. My friend, if you have the opportunity in the Church where you are, attend sessions, attend Bible studies, do something, work, engage in the house of God. Use your jawbone.
