INVITE AND SUMMARY
Three marks you need for you to be exempted. That is the second chapter from our Study on My case is different.
We are in a world according to Psalm seventy-four verse twenty full of cruelty.
According to first John 5:19, the world is under the wickedness of the wicked.
Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:1 that perilous time will come.
And I am announcing to you that there is a very huge crisis that is coming globally and I don't know exactly what it will look like but God is preparing us for us to know what you and I we will need so that we will stand in the midst of this crisis.
You need three marks.
Number one the mark of the blood. The Bible says I will see the blood and I will pass over. Israel in Egypt was preserved because of the blood. The Egyptians first born died in the midst of this plague but only Israel's first born were preserved. Why? Because of the blood and the blood speaks again until today you need mark of the blood for you to be exempted.
Number two we need the mark of divine favour. Why ?
Because in the last time, in the last days what will make a difference will be the mark of divine favour. Favour always comes together with preferential treatments. And we will enjoy preferential treatment in this crisis that is coming because God himself says that upon his sons he will put the mark of divine favour.
Number three the mark of sonship.
Why? Because only sons will be marked. And according to the Bible in Romans 8:14, only those who are led by the spirit are sons. And God marks those who are led by God. Those who decide to let God lead their life they will see the difference. Those who will decide to live their life on their own they will be on their own.
And the Bible says in Romans 8:9 that those who have the Spirit of God belong to God.
So, the mark of the Spirit, the mark of sonship, that is what will make the difference that will exempt you from the cruelty from the evil that is coming ahead of us. The mark of the blood, the mark of favour, the mark of sonship.
So tune in today as we go through this teaching and I believe it will bless you.
And as we come in Church this Sunday, God will renew a seal in our lives So that we will be able to prepare ourselves for whatever is coming ahead. God never does anything without announcing it before to his servants the prophet as it is written in Amos 3:7. God bless as you listen. God bless you as you follow and let it be so in your life. OPENING PRAYERS
Now lift your voice where you are let us pray together as we start our service today.
Father thank you for today another opportunity in your presence.
Lord, thank you for protecting us, watching over us.
Thank you for your hand that is upon our lives.
Thank you for the night. Thank you for the day. Thank you for everything.
Oh God, we are thankful unto you and we bless your holy name in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We have all prayed and we say amen and amen.
Ruth chapter two verse one, “And Naomi had a kinsman of her husbands. A mighty man of wealth of the family of Elimelek and his name was Boaz”.
In chapter one, we saw there was a famine. The famine passed. We see Naomi and Ruth coming back to Bethlehem and Naomi says something that has kept my attention for all those days.
We are in Ruth chapter one verse twenty one and the Lord brought me home empty.
So there is a contrast between what she says in Ruth chapter one verse twenty one and what we see in Ruth chapter two verse one with this man called Boaz, a man of wealth, a mighty man of wealth.
Boaz means strength and this man Boaz has survived the famine. The famine came and hit everybody equally in the land. Elimelek and his family lost everything including their lives. From Ruth 1:4, we learn that they stayed there for 10 years.
When Naomi came back, she found that Elimelek, her husband’s relative was a mighty man in the land. I could hear Boaz saying, my case is different.
If I could have interviewed Boaz, I could have asked him a question … How did you manage to survive in those years of famine. I could hear Boaz saying, My case is different.
But I tried to go further by asking, what exactly happened that made Boaz emerge as the wealthy man, the man of valour, the man of strength, while others perished?
I could hear something which I want to share with you today.
When the people of God was in Egypt, the difference with the Egyptians was obvious and manifest.
The difference number one
While the cattle of Egypt was dying, none of the cattle of Israel died. We find it in Exodus chapter nine verse four, “And the Lord shall severe between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt and there shall nothing die of all that is the children of Israel”.
Exodus nine six “and the Lord did that thing in the morrow and all the cattle of Egypt died but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
So, because God says clearly that he will set a clear difference.
Exodus eight twenty-two, the Lord himself says very clearly, “I will not treat the Israelites the same as the Egyptians”
He says, “I will not treat …"
So, God is putting a very clear difference between his people and those who are not his people. That is why you see in Exodus 8 twenty three, the Lord says to Pharaoh who was holding captive the people of the covenant, “I will put a division between my people and thy people, tomorrow shall this sign be”,
What does a division mean?
Division means a redemption, a sign that they are redeemed from bondage.
So the difference between God’s people and Egypt people was very clear and God is the God of difference. God is the God of exemption. God is the God who does not and will never treat his people the same way he is treating others. That is God. And that's why you see the cattle of Egypt were dying and the cattle of Israel was not dying.
The difference number two.
We find it in Exodus 9:25, “When the hail was smiting and destroying everything from the field of the Egyptians, there was no hail in Goshen where Israel was and the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt. All that was in the field both men and beasts and the hail smote every herb of the field and break every tree of the field. Only in the land of Goshen where the children of Israel was there was no hail.
The difference number three.
We see it in Exodus ten twenty-three, “They saw not one another, neither was any its place for two days but all the children of Israel had light in their dwelling”.
You see? In the whole land of Egypt, there was darkness but in Goshen, there was light.
The difference number four
We see it in Exodus 11:7, In the whole land of Egypt, there was a plague killing the first born but in Israel, there was no death.
We read, “But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue against men of beast that you may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptian and Israel”
.
God is the God of difference. But what was making the difference was the finger of God.
That's why you see in Exodus eight nineteen.
The Bible says, “”The magicians said to Pharaoh this is the finger of God. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened and he listened not to them as the Lord had said”.
So, remember that the sorcerers of Pharaoh attempted to produce the lice but they were unsuccessful. They failed themselves in Exodus 8:19, they said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God”
And you know what? The finger of God is what was making the difference to the extent that even themselves the magician said no that is the finger of God.
Now. Listen to me. In this season, it will be very clear that the finger of god is upon your life. The sorcerers and magicians in your family, in your household, in this country, in the land where we are, will see clearly that the finger of God will make a clear difference in the name of Jesus Christ,
I say it will make a clear difference. I was saying it will make a clear difference in Jesus Name.
And you know? When we talk about the finger, you all know that we use the finger to write. Alright?. And in our fingers, we have the fingerprints.
That is why you know that there is no way in the world that two individuals can have the same fingerprints. Each one has a set of prints of his finger which make him to be unique. So it means that the finger of God is what makes you.
When the finger of God is writing or is stamped on your life, on your spirit, in your soul, it makes you to be different. Because there is no way you can find or trace two people with the same fingerprint.
So, when the finger of God is upon you. It means in other word that the fingerprint of God is on you. So that is what happened and the magicians they could not understand. They said, “No that is the finger of God”.
And the finger has fingerprints. And that is why the fingerprints of God on an individual leave what we call marks. And you should know that the spiritual realm is the realm of marks. God is the God of marks.
Now remember when Cain was running away, God says in Genesis4:15, “ I will put a mark of you so that those who will see you will not touch you”.
So, it confirms that ah the God is the God who puts marks on people and on individuals.
But again when you go to Ezekiel chapter number nine verse four, the Bible makes it very clear that in the Sanctuary (House of God), God instructed to set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
And in Ezekiel nine verse six, God says very clearly, “Come not near any man upon whom is the mark...” Meaning, if you have the mark, everything that happens around it will be minus you.
We find again in Revelation chapter seven verse three that there was a mark that was placed on the servants of God.

Why? To exempt them from the things, the evil, the horror that is about to come in the world.
So, those who have the mark will be exempted and those who don't have the mark will have trouble.
And, in Scripture, I have come to understand if we go back to the story of Boaz, we will see that Boaz was in the land of Bethlehem and he had on him three very clear marks which exempted him in the midst of the famine.
I don't say that challenge will not come. I say that challenge will come but when challenge will come those with the mark will be exempted.
Now, I want to believe in God that somebody under the sound of my voice, you will be exempted in Jesus Precious Name.
NUMBER 1 | THE MARK OF THE BLOOD
In Exodus 1213, the Bible says, “I will see the blood and I will pass over”.
Somebody might ask me a question … Well pastor what are you talking about? We don't see anything concerning the blood here with Boaz.
Please. Don't rush. Don't rush. Don't rush. Don't rush because I have something to show to you today.
When I go to Mathew chapter number one verse five, it is amazing to see an information that concerns Boaz. And it just hits me hard when I came to understand that it is written … Salmon beget Boaz of Rachab or Rahab and Boaz beget Obed of Ruth and Obed beget Jesse.
This information is showing us a very particular individual who is called Rahab. And I have come to understand that Rahab was the mother of Boaz.
Now who was Rahab? Rahab was the prostitute in the time where Israel was conquering the land. And this prostitute welcomed the spies in her house as it is written in Joshua chapter two.
When Rahab was making a covenant with the spies, they agreed that the scarlet thread (Joshua 2:15) she used for them to escape would remain on the window so that when they will come to the destroy the land, they will see the scarlet thread and her and her household and her family would be spared.
So, it shows very clearly that the mother of Boaz knew the power of the blood. So, when in the land everybody was destroyed, Rahab was preserved (Joshua 6:22-23).

And I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe. And you know? Rahab was a prostitute. She was not able to enter in the congregation of Israel. Not only was she a prostitute, she was also not part of the children of Israel. But because of the picture of the blood symbolized by the scarlet thread, it is written in Jos 2:18, “Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee”.
Because of the scarlet, Rahab was spared.
So, I strongly believe in my spirit that Rahab taught his son the power of the blood. That is why even in the midst of the famine, I believe that Rahab's faith had an impact in the life of Boz.
Because the way ah this man Boaz was operating with confidence, it cannot be otherwise than through his mother who was Rahab who was delivered from destruction through the scarlet thread.
Now go to Hebrew chapter eleven verse thirty one, the Bible says, “By faith, the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not when she had received the spies with peace”.
You see? She perished not with them that believed not. That is why I believe by extension that the faith in the blood was transferred and transmitted to Boaz that made him in the midst of the famine not to be affected by whatever was happening.
Remember. In second Timothy chapter number one verse six verse five six and seven Paul is talking about Timothy.
2Ti 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
2Ti 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Just to let somebody know that we need to transfer our faith. We need to come to a place where our children inherit our faith. We need to train our children to the ways of God so that they will know when trouble will come where to stand.
Because I believe Elimelek and all those kind of people did not know where to stand.
But I thank God for Boaz because the mother probably and surely taught this young boy that whenever you are in trouble, remember the scarlet thread that saved me. If it saved me, the same scarlet will also save you.
I strongly believe the blood of Jesus will exempt you from whatever is coming. The blood of Jesus will exempt me from whatever is coming. The blood of Jesus will exempt us from chaos.
The blood of Jesus is the blood of the covenant.
When we come in Church on Sunday and we are sharing the Holy Communion, it is not a snack. It is the covenant with the blood. We are remembering the Covenant.
Remember that Jesus said in Luke 22:20, “It is the blood of the covenant”. Remember it is written in Exodus 12:13, “I will see the blood and I will pass over”.
The blood of Jesus is the blood of victory.
It is written in Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”.
It is written in Philippians 2:10, “Every knee should bow...".
NUMBER 2 | THE MARK OF DIVINE FAVOUR
The moment the blood was applied on the doorpost, Israel started enjoying something that leads us to the second mark : The mark of favour.
And I believe that Boaz could not feel the famine because of favour upon him. Don't worry because I will explain to you and I will show to you that this man Boaz was a man of extraordinary favour.
The second mark that will exempt you and me is the mark of favour.
So when did the people of Israel get favor? When the blood was applied, if the blood is applied, favor will be supplied. Whenever the blood is applied, favour is supplied. God will supply favor for you in Jesus name.
Look at what happen in Exodus chapter number twelve. It is amazing. After the blood was applied, some strange things started happening in the Bible.
SIGN NUMBER ONE OF FAVOUR | PHARAOH AND THE WHOLE LAND OF EGYPT LOST SLEEP
Exodus 12:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
What does it mean?
When you have divine favour, when you have the mark of favour on you, by reason of the mark of the blood, some people will lose their sleep because of you. That is the mark of divine favour.
Favour takes away the sleep of people. I will never forget what my bishop told me when he was alive. When he was releasing me to come to Kenya, He told me, “I'm giving you this amount of money because you serve the God who takes away the sleep of kings”
Which shows that when you carry favour, when you have the mark of favour, some people will not sleep until they bless you.
Mordecai for example was favoured as we can see in Esther 6:1 that the king lost his sleep just to remember what he did and to reward him.
The same story is found in Ruth 3:18, where Naomi told Ruth, “This man will not sleep until he settles the matter.”
God will settle you by favour. You need the mark of favour. So, I believe that Boaz had a mark of favor on him.
Look at Naomi and Elimelek. Their life is a very clear sign that they were suffering disfavor. Isn't it? Yes, they suffered disfavor.
SIGN NUMBER TWO OF FAVOUR | THERE WAS GREAT CRY IN THE WHOLE LAND OF EGYPT
Exodus 12:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
I will tell you the truth before the Lord that favour in your life will also come together with tears in people's life. It can sound shocking but it is the truth, because by reason of favour some people will cry.
SIGN NUMBER THREE OF FAVOUR | THERE WAS RELEASE
Exodus 12:31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.
You see? Take the night's praise seriously. It was at midnight that the Lord released his firstborn from Egypt.
Favour comes together with release. Favour comes together with freedom.
In this season, God is saying that somebody will have a mark of favour.
Whatever belongs to you will be released supernaturally in the name of Jesus Christ. There will be release. There will be a release. There will be a release.
Pharaoh said to Israel, “Go and serve the Lord”.
I see Pharaoh losing sleep this time. Please take this week seriously.
When I say that my case is different, it is because of the mark of favour upon my life.
So you see? The favour of God comes together with release.
SIGN NUMBER FOUR OF FAVOUR | WEALTH
Favour comes together with wealth.
Exodus 12:36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
Remember. In Ruth Chapter Two Verse One, Boaz was a man of great wealth. Where did he get the wealth after famine if not by/through divine favor?
Exodus 12:32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
Exodus 12:33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
Exodus 12:35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:
Exodus 12:36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
You see? The mark of favour comes together with the supernatural transfer of wealth and I believe that Boaz carried that favor.
In the midst of that crisis, the favour of God will make some individuals crazily wealthy not by reason of might, or of power, but by reason of favour.
Favour will make your case different in Jesus name.
MARK NUMBER THREE | THE MARK OF SONSHIP
And finally the last mark is the mark of sonship.
The Bible says very clearly in Romans chapter number eight verse fourteen that those who are led by God are sons of God.
The mark of God is upon the sons.
God was telling Pharaoh repeatedly, “Let my son go. If thou refuse to let him go, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn” (Exodus 4:23)
That is the mark of sonship.
God says in Romans chapter eight verse nineteen, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God”.
So the mark that will exempt you is the mark of sonship. Who are sons? Those who are led by God. Romans 8:14.
And we see Boaz in this Scripture as a man who is led by God. Contrary to Elimelek and his family, who moved on their own. Boaz did not move as he was waiting for the leading of God.
And the Bible says in
Isaiah 48:21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
Isaiah 45:1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
Isaiah 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
Isaac was led by God to not go to Egypt, but dwell in Gerar.
Genesis 26:2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
And because he stayed in Gerar, there was a mark on him and the people in the land came and told him …
Genesis 26:28 We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
The whole Scripture of Ruth is all about God’s leading. It is all about God’s guidance.
CLOSING WORDS
What will exempt you compared with others is the mark of sonship. And you are a son when you are led by God, not when you are led by yourself.
CLOSING PRAYERS
Lift your voice where you are and start praying God this ah this morning.
Those are the three marks that will exempt you. The mark of the blood.
The mark of favour. The mark of sonship.
Can you just lift your voice and say Lord I thank you for the blood. I thank you for the blood of the lamb of God.
I claim the blood of Jesus in my life.
This morning I come to claim the power of the blood, let the blood speak in my life.
The Bible says that the blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel,
I pray blood, like the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, I claim the power of the blood in my life today. In the name of Jesus Christ, as I go to work, the blood, in my house, the blood, in my office, the blood, everywhere the blood, the blood, the blood, I will see the blood, I will pass over.
Lord I pray that the blood of Jesus Christ will come together in my life with the mark of divine favour.
Lord I speak favour upon my life. I speak favour upon my ministry. I speak favour upon the work of my hand. I speak favour in everything I do. Favour in the name of Jesus Christ. Favour be my portion. In Jesus name I speak favour.
I speak favour. I speak favour. I speak favour. I speak favour in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord lead my life. I don't want to lead myself. I pray for the anointing that was upon boss. Or the anointing of divine guidance. I don't want to move by myself. Lead me. Lead my steps for my wife lead me lead me for my next step.
Lead us as a church for the next step. Lord lead us. That is what will make my case different. The mark of the blood. The mark of favor and the mark of sonship. I pray oh God that it will be my experience in the name of Jesus Christ. What affects others will not affect me because of the mark on my life. Lord thank you for your mark.
Thank you for your mark upon me. Thank you for your mark upon me. In the name of Jesus Christ. The son of the living God. Now I bless you in the name of the the Son and the Holy Spirit. I pray that God will go ahead of you. Receive receive the favour from above. Receive receive the mark from above. By the blood of Jesus Christ, the son of God.
