Stay Hungry To Stay Happy | Wednesday 22-03-2023

If you want to stay happy, stay hungry. You can't go to the next level in your life if you are not hungry for it. 

In John 7:37-38 KJV, Jesus says, "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 

Which means clearly that when one is not hungry or thirsty, they cannot come to Christ. They cannot come to Church. They cannot build a relationship.

What happens when someone is not hungry? THE OIL WILL STOP FLOWING ( 2 Kings 4:6 NKJ)

Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, "Bring me another vessel." And he said to her, "There is not another vessel." So THE OIL CEASED.

When one is not hungry, when one becomes full, the immediate consequence of it is ... THE OIL CEASES/STOPS FLOWING. THE GRACE STOPS. THE BLESSING STOPS. THE IDEAS STOP. THE CREATIVITY STOPS. THE INNER DRIVE STOPS. THE WILL POWER STOPS. EVERYTHING STOPS.

Please, take note that the power of life is in continuity. 

• Continuity is critical for breathing to stop.

• When the heart stops beating, it causes fatality. 

• The life of body is preserved as long as breathing continues and heart continues to beat.

• Before anything dies, something must stop

• The death of anything is never instant. 

• Death is progressive. Most of the time it starts when we are not aware.

• Imagine your heart or your loins or your liver stop working. Will you continue to live? Certainly no.

• For example, why are most marriages dying ? Check well. Something good stopped somewhere. 

• They stopped having quality time together

• They stopped praying and going to church together

• They stopped talking and communicating

• They stopped trusting and sharing 

• They stopped meditating 

• They stopped outing and sharing the same room

• They stopped being faithful

• They stopped being intimate

● In the Name Of Jesus Christ, like Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones, I command anything dead in your life, anything that has stopped to come back to work. Let it be so in the Name Of Jesus Christ!!!

The oil stopped flowing. Why? 

- The oil did not stop flowing because there was no more oil. There was still oil. The oil stopped flowing because the vessels were full in one hand and because there was no more empty vessel.

Lesson 1- Where you are is a stepping stone not a stopping point. It is a stepping stone to where you are going.

Lesson 2- The moment you believe you have arrived is the moment you become stagnant. The moment you become stagnant is the moment you start stinking.

Lesson 3- Where you stop is where God stops.

Lesson 4 - You don't stop when you are tired. You stop when you are done.

You know what?

Jesus died thirsty (John 19:28). Jesus did not die full. 

The meaning if it is that blessing stops, divine favor stops, peace stops …). Where you stop is where defeat starts in your life.

• Remember Moses. When he was on the mountain praying, anytime his hands went down, the Amalekites prevailed. When his hands went up, Israel prevailed.

What make people to stop being hungry

1st Source - People stop being hungry because of pride and self-sufficiency.

Empty yourself so that God can and will continue to pour his blessing on you...

Revelation 3:17 AMP Because you say, "I am rich, and have prospered and grown wealthy, and HAVE NEED OF NOTHING," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked [without hope and in great need],

STATEMENT | THE MOMENT YOU ARE FULL IS THE MOMENT YOU BECOME FOOL ... 

*Luke 12:16-21*  KJV

*Luke 12:16* And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 

*Luke 12:17* And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 

*Luke 12:18* And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 

*Luke 12:19* And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 

*Luke 12:20* But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 

*Luke 12:21* So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

What was wrong with this man? 

Problem 1 | His problem was I ...

What happens when someone cries? I, I , I , I ...

Problem 2 | He did not have a next level mindset. He became full. He became satisfied with his harvest. He thought he has arrived while he has not yet started.

Listen to what he says ...

*Verse 19* And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 

I underline merry, meaning happy. I will eat, drink and be happy.

And what did God tell him? FOOL

Fool means ... You cannot be happy when you are selfish. 

Fool means ... You cannot be happy when you are self-centered. 

Fool means ... You cannot be happy when you are the center of it all. 

Imagine. If you eat, you eat, you eat and you do not release what you have eaten? What will happen? You will be constipated. Next, you will die.

Listen to what Jesus says ... "rich toward God ..." 

What does that mean? True happiness is not in accumulation. True riches is in wise distribution.

Acts 20:35 ... “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. 

More blessed? What does that mean? It means that you will get more blessings, have more joy, experience greater happiness, from giving than from receiving.

Source 2- People stop being hungry because of familiarity. 

Familiarity with God, familiarity with one another, familiarity with the things of God.

This is true even in relationship.

A relationship where the partners become too much familiar with one another ends up becoming comfortable and starts taking one another for granted.

Danger 1- Familiarity leads to disrespect. It causes boundaries to be broken. Then it leads to death. Beware.

- Uzza died for becoming too familiar with the arch. He touched it. He crossed the boundaries. And he died.

- Beware of familiarity

Danger 2- Familiarity leads to carelessness, superficiality, lack of depth, lack of seriousness, ... Then it leads to death.

- The sons of Aaron became too familiar with the altar. They offered carelessly a strange fire on the altar. And they died.

Conclusion and study case : Terah

Statement : When you don't know what next to do

- Genesis 11:31 NKJV "And Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there."

Read well 

- Those people left Ur and were going to Canaan

- They didn't reach Canaan. They reached Haran. They decided to settle there.

- Obviously Terah died there without reaching where he was supposed to reach.

- I prophesy over you. You will reach your Canaan. You will not die at Haran.

- What is Haran?

- You are not married. Come and let's stay together

- Anything less than the standard of God

- Anything less than God's original purpose for you.

- Settling for less than the fullness of God

- Who is Terah?

- Terah is a spirit of incompletion

- Terah is a spirit of discouragement

- Terah is a spirit of abortion and miscarriage

- Terah is a spirit of procrastination

- Terah is a spirit of distraction robbing you of your destination

- After Terah died, Abraham moved to the next level

- I pray. Let Terah in you die today and now in 

- I revoke and I rebuke the evil spirit of Terah in anyone listening to me this morning in the name of Jesus Christ!!!

- Whatever was left pending , pick it up and finish it this year!!!!

APPLICATION 1

- Are you still thirsty of God? Are you still thirsty of the things of God? Are you still thirsty of the power of God? Are you still thirsty of the anointing of the Spirit of God?

- I pray that the thirst and the hunger for God will be back to your soul

- Let me tell you this ... 

- I will know you are spiritually healthy when you are still hungry and thirsty for more of God in your life.

- John 7:37-38 KJV In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

- John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

- You see?

- The more you are hungry, the more you will be close to God. The more the rivers of living water will flow...

- Pray : Lord, in this year,  let the rivers continue to flow in the name of Jesus Christ

- Pray : Father, let familiarity die

● There is no NEXT LEVEL without  NEXT LEVEL thoughts.

● BEFORE GOD SHIFTS YOU TO THE NEXT LEVEL, HE MUST LIFT YOUR THINKING TO THE NEXT LEVEL. 

● TAKE NOTE ... UNTIL YOUR THINKING IS LIFTED TO THE NEXT LEVEL, YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE SHIFTED TO THE NEXT LEVEL ...

● ISRAEL COULD NOT ENTER CANAAN WITH THE EGYPT KIND OF THOUGHT.

TIP 2 | Be aware/ be conscious/ be mentally conditionned that there is no limit to what you can be, become, do apart from your faith, the will of God

There is no limit to your progress. The Bible says …

Proverbs 4:18  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. 

There is no limit to your increase. The Bible says …

Psalm 115:14  The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children. 

There is no limit to your glory. The Bible says …

2Co 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 

There is no limit to your strength. The Bible says … 

Psa 84:7  They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. 

TIP 3 | Be more aggressive. Don’t stop. Don’t give up. 

You either give birth or give up, not both. 

If you give up you won’t give birth. If you want to give birth, don’t give up!

*PROPHETIC UTTERANCES*

● Prophesy ... I  must go to the NEXT LEVEL in the name of Jesus Christ

● Prophesy ... Whether the devil likes it or not I  must go to the NEXT LEVEL 

● Prophesy ... No matter the obstacles, the storm... I  must go to the NEXT LEVEL 

● Prophesy ...  I will never suffer shame. I  must go to the NEXT LEVEL 

● Prophesy ... My life will not decay ... I  must go to the NEXT LEVEL 

● Prophesy ... Mention the areas of your life that must go to the NEXT LEVEL

● Prophesy ... Prophesy on your mind. Pray that your mind will be renewed for the next level

Every year is ordained by God for my to change level. Let it be so in my life in Jesus name
