FOCUS OF THE MONTH | NOTHING WORKS IF NO ONE WORKS. PRT 1

SUBTOPIC | The Unprofitable Church. Mthw 25:18

Chapter 1: Introduction.

Today's text talks about a man who received one talent from the Master and chose to bury it instead of working on it.

Dr. Myles Munroe said ... The richest place in the world is the cemetery because it is filled with unfulfilled dreams. 

Chapter 2: What is the Unprofitable Church?

1. This is a church with burried potentials and unfulfilled dreams. Mthw 25:18

- The Lord says, take the unprofitable servant and throw him in the lake of fire. 

- There is no place for the lazy in heaven 

- When you have a potential/gift that you are not using, you are not profitable.

- When you are not pouring into someone else, you are sinning.

2. This is a church with cheap talk, heap of excuses and nothing to show. Mthw 25:24-25, Prov 14:23

- Talk is cheap. The real deal is converting talk to reality for all to see. 

3. This is a church of wishes and witches not winners.

- Winning in life is not a function of wishing but working.

- It takes diligence to turn dreams into reality.

Chapter 3: What Is A Dream? Acts 2:17

Dreams: These are for old men.

1. They are not what happen when you sleep. They are the implantation of God in you to revolutionalise your world. Acts 17:6

It takes a dream for you to impact your world. Living a life without impact is a waste of one's life.

2. A Dream is a mental picture impressed in the heart of man by God to cause a change in the future. Gen 13:15

A Dream outlives the dreamer. Hence the old men shall dream dreams and the young shall see visions.

• It takes a dream to actualise the vision.

• When we exit the earth our dreams must be the vision for the next generation.

3. A dream is a divine idea dropped by God in the mind of a human vessel to solve problems of the humankind.

4. A dream is a supernatural prompting in the spirit of a man to do the unusual that will cause change.

CONCLUSION

• The world awaits your manifestation. Rom 8:20

• The dream shall not be revealed if there is no work.

• The Dream is what you are ready to die for, while the vision is what you live for.

To Do: 

- Write your vision, and your dream. (what's the mental picture of your future? what do you see about yourself in the coming months, years,...?)

- Keep your dream constantly before your eyes.

- Act on it. Work on it.
