● Isaiah 54:1 "Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear ... 

● Why does God instruct the barren in this text to sing knowing that she doesn't have children?

● The Lord wants us to determine to praise him regardless of our feelings and circumstances. “I will bless the Lord.”

● Yes, sometimes, we are dry spiritually. it is at those times that we must serve notice to our soul and say,“ My Soul, sing even when you do not feel like*. 

● 4 reasons to sing even when you don't feel like

● 1- Sing because You are blessed

On the cross, Christ took your curse and released on you his blessings (Gal 3:13)

● 2- Sing because you are justified

Christ made himself sin to make you righteous. There is no more condemnation for you (Romans 8:1)

● 3- Sing because you are glorified

Christ bore your shame on him to clothe you with God's glory 

● 4- Sing because you are favoured

Christ bore God's anger on him for God's favour to be poured out on you. (Romans 5:1)

FATHER, in Jesus' Name, ...

● No matter how I feel, I issue a command to my soul and say, "My soul, Praise the Lord..."

● Nothing will break my joy ... My God is in control of what happens ...No matter the circumstances I choose to praise, be content and rejoice!

● I sing because I am blessed

● I sing because I am justified

● I sing because I am glorified

● I sing because I am favoured*
