"Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings..." (Jer 3:22)
The word "backslide" means "turn back" or "turn away.". A backslider is compared with a dog who returns to his own vomit. (2 Pet 2:22)
Backsliding is always invisible since it begins in the heart. ( 1 Tim 5:24). Many people in the Bible backslided. Solomon (1 Kings 11:9), the church of Ephesus (Rev 2:4), Judas (1 Tim 5:15), Demas (2 Tim 4:10) etc
*I AM BACKSLIDING WHEN...*
● Prayer, church attendance cease to be a delight to me.
● The acquisition of money and good, and entertainment become a dominant part of my thinking
● I begin to excuse sin in my life, explain it away and pardon it instead of repenting.
● I hear the Lord’s name taken in vain and I am not moved to indignation and action.
● I begin to show understanding with fellow believers why they must commit certain sins or approve of their sins
Pray the Holy Spirit to fire-up your heart afresh today in the Name of Jesus !

● REVIVE AND AWAKE MY SPIRIT FROM THE BACKSLIDING STATE IN JESUS NAME!
● DELIVER ME FROM ANY RELIANCE TO MYSELF AND REVIVE MY PRAYER LIFE SO THAT I WILL ALWAYS DEPEND ON THE LORD NOT ON MYSELF IN JESUS NAME!
● IGNITE THE FLAME OF MY FIRST LOVE TO GOD SO THAT I WILL CONTINUE TO LOVE GOD IN JESUS NAME!
● HELP ME TO GUARD MY HEART MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, TO GET CLOSER TO YOU AND TO MY CHURCH SO THAT MY SPIRIT WILL REMAIN PERMANENTLY AWAKE IN JESUS NAME!
● DELIVER ME FROM ANY TRACE OF FAMILIARITY WITH THE LORD, THE SERVANTS OF GOD AND THE THINGS OF GOD IN JESUS NAME!
● Help me not to depart from the faith forever in Jesus name
● Help me not to give heed to seducing and lying spirits in Jesus name
● Let no work of darkness thrive in my life again in Jesus name
● Let every power, assigned by the host of darkness to draw me away from eternal life and distract me not prosper in my life, in Jesus’ name.
