GOD OF IMPOSSIBILITIES
In Matthew 17:20, Jesus says, "I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Jesus is teaching us today that "if we have faith, ..., nothing shall be impossible unto us". What does it mean?
Jesus is teaching us to lift up our faith to the level where we believe God as the GOD OF IMPOSSIBILITIES. Jesus is challenging us to have the God-like kind of faith who believes and knows without any shadow of doubt that
- "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26)
- "all things are possible with God" (Mark 10:27)
WHO IS THE GOD OF IMPOSSIBILITIES?
NUMBER 1 | The God of impossibilities is the God for which nothing is too difficult and too hard. He made it possible for Sarah who was 90 years to be pregnant from a man who was 100 years. He made it possible for Mary to conceive Jesus without any man's involvment. He fed 3 millions men and women in the desert for 40 years without any involment of any bank but by the power of his hand.
Genesis 18:14 "Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son."
Jeremiah 32:17 "'Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for You,"
NUMBER 2| The God of impossibilities is the God who specializes in making possible those things you considered as impossible in your life, those mountains you are incapable of moving on your own, those challenges you have given up about.
Luke 18:27 "But He said, "The things that are impossible with people are possible with God."
What does the doctor say about your case? What does the family say about your case? What do you say yourself about your case? What does it look impossible for you now and today? Is it an incurable disease? Is it a stubborn child? A stubborn husband? A stubborn wife? A difficult case in court? A hard job opportunity to get?
Jesus is telling you today that "if [only] you have faith, ..., nothing shall be impossible unto you".
GO BEFORE THE GOD OF IMPOSSIBILITIES AND PRAISE HIM! PRAY ABOUT WHAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO YOU. HAVE FAITH THAT HE WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE. LOOK AT IT AS A DONE DEAL AND IT SHALL BE SO FOR YOU IN JESUS NAME!
