*DOES GOD HEAR YOUR PRAYERS?*

When Jesus was before the grave of Lazarus, he prayed his Father saying, "Father, *I thank you for hearing me*. I’ve known that *you always hear me*." (John 11:41-42)

Jesus was sure that because his Father *always hears him*, He will also *always answer him*. 

*REFLECT*

Let's reason together. Can you answer a sms you have never received nor read? Can you answer a phone call you have never received? Likewise, your prayers must be heard by God first before he answers them. 

Therefore, the question is not why God is not answering your prayers. The question is "Is God hearing them?"

*What are the prayers God hears?*

1. *Proverbs 15:29* The LORD is far from wicked people, but *he hears the prayers of righteous people*.

Question : Are you righteous?

2. *Proverbs 28:9* He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even *his prayer [shall be] abomination*.

Question : Do you hear God?

3. *1 John 5:14* And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, *if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us*

Question : Do you pray according to his will?

4. *James 4:3* When you pray for things, you don’t get them because *you want them for the wrong reason*--for your own pleasure.

Question : Are your motives pure?

So shall it be

Jesus is Lord
