THE SPIRIT OF ESAU
Hebrews 12:15-16 "Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright."
*REFLECT*
Esau was hungry. His hunger made him bitter about everything in life to the point of exchanging his birthright to get a morsel of food that would grant him a now, instant and immediate gratification.
What Esau failed to see, Jacob succeeded to see.
What Esau despised, Jacob valued.
What Esau neglected, Jacob appreciated.
What Esau sold, Jacob bought.
What Esau dropped, Jacob embrassed.
What Esau took for granted, Jacob took for precious.
What was allocated to Esau naturally was transferred to Jacob and became his legally and eternally.
Result?
Jacob became the legal firstborn.
Jacob became the legal career of Abraham and Isaac blessing
Forever God will be called the God of Jacob, never the God of Esau.
*RESPOND IN PRAYER*
The spirit of Esau is the the spirit of bitterness.
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of lack of self control
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of now and instant gratification
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of despising spiritual things
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of inability to handle pressure of life (sexual, financial, physical, ...)
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of losing privileges
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of inability to see the future with clarity
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of poor choices, poor decisions that will cause tears in future
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of lack of wisdom and deep reflection. It is a superficial mind.
The spirit of Esau is the spirit of someone who despises himself, who devours himself, who is ready to sell everything and to sell himself for food, for money, for sex. Without principles, without personality, without dignity ...
"LET US PRAY TO CAST OUT THIS EVIL SPIRIT IN US, IN OUR SPOUSES, IN OUR CHILDREN, IN OUR LEADERS ...IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
