1 Samuel 17:26 ... " who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
*REFLECT*
Day in and day out, Goliath shouted insult after insult toward God’s servants for 40 days. It only changed at the end of 40 days, after one bald warrior named David came on the scene and said: "Enough Is Enough, who is this umcircumcised?!”
By asking this question, David is expressing his indignation and his anger at hearing Goliath insulting HIS God who is worthy of praise and adoration.
Sometimes in life you’ll see an ugly ‘Goliath, staring at you and throwing insults at you and your God. This devil may try to slander your name and belittle your faith. This devil may try to undermine your work, or stop your progress. They could arrogantly think and say: “Where is your God? If God is God, why are you jobless? Why are you barren? Who are you to come here, and do all you are doing? Who do you think you are?"
But as God’s servant I must tell you, my friend: “You will never change what you tolerate! You must take aggressive action and confront these devils, and then hit them, and put them out of business!
YOU KNOW WHAT? IT WAS DAVID WHO NUMBERED THE DAYS OF GOLIATH ... YOU TOO, BY YOUR FAITH, NUMBER THE DAYS OF YOUR GOLIATH ...
IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, NO GOLIATH WILL AGAIN DARE TO ASK YOU, "WHERE IS YOUR GOD?"
*RESPOND IN PRAYER...THREE REASONS JUSTIFY DAVID'S INDIGNATION*
1st reason: David is a worshipper. True worshipper does not remain insensible at hearing a mortal man insulting his God.
PRAYER 1 / In an intense moment of praise, thanksgiving and adoration, look at your Goliath and confront him with the greatness of your God.
2nd reason: David is anointed. True anointed feels what God feels and reacts the way God reacts.
PRAYER 2/ In an intense moment of prayer of authority, look at your Goliath and confront him with the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon you.
3rd reason: David is a covenant lover of God. When His God is insulted, it is his duty to rise and defend him and silence the insulter
PRAYER 3 / Look at your Goliath as an uncircumcised (stranger to the covenant of your God) and look at yourself as a son of the Covenant. Like David, i based on your covenant with God, ssue a decree against Goliath.
