AT THE MOUNTAIN OF RECOVERY AND RESTORATION ... DAY 26 ... MOVE ON FROM REGRET, GUILT AND SHAME

FRIDAY 17 AUGUST 2018
MOVE ON FROM REGRET, GUILT AND SHAME

READ

Romans 8:1 "[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

REFLECT

So many people carry with them the pain of their past...things they wish they had done differently...things they regret saying...pain they caused others, or things that were inflicted on them.

Because of shame, guilt, and regret, many have deserted their churches, ran away from their friends and acquaintances, taken the worst decision they would have never taken, turned to be alcoholic etc. Worse, some others have committed suicide like Judas Iscariot.

Though we all have done things we can regret, God doesn’t want regret to rob us of our joy in him or cripple us in our glorious pursuit of him.

Today at the mountain of recovery and restoration, God wants to restore and heal someone's broken heart and broken soul.

God is telling someone to turn the page of the past sins and mistakes and embrace the beauty of God's forgiveness and acceptance for a life free from regret, free from shame, free from fear, free from bitterness free from guilt.

In our ministry, many have been healed and have moved on from regret, shame and guilt. Are you struggling with those things ? Inbox us and we will pray for you

RESPOND IN PRAYER

Here are 4 key-prayers to overcoming and healing our heart and your memory from regret:

1. Silence the accuser by remembering Christ saved you by his blood.

Yes, you have failed, but every failure was paid for in full at the cross. Silence Satan’s accusations by repenting and turning to Christ every time he accuses you.

Pray with Revelation 12:12 and declare your victory over the accuser by the blood of the lamb

2. Remind yourself there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus!

Pray to cancel the enemy's condemnation as it is written in Romans 8:1,"[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

3. Forget what lies behind and keep pressing toward the prize.

Paul could have had many regrets for his past life but he intentionally did not focus on them, but focused on the prize, and put his energies into pursuing Christ.

Pray for the healing of your memory and for the grace to focus on what lies ahead with Philippians 3:14

4. Let your failures keep you humble and grateful to God's grace !

My past failures remind me that I’m capable of anything apart from God’s grace.

Pray for the meekness of the spirit with 1 Peter 5:6

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
