FAITH IS COSTLY
READING OF THE DAY
1 Kings 7:9-10, "All these were of COSTLY STONES, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court. 7:10 And THE FOUNDATION WAS OF COSTLY STONES, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits."
1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
MEDITATION
One thing I know about FAITH IS THAT FAITH IS COSTLY. In 1 Peter 1:7, Peter describes faith as being much more precious than of gold.
True Men of faith are men who like Solomon build not on cheap stones but on costly stones. Show me the quality of the stones you build with I will tell you whether you have faith or not.
Using Shortcuts to reach your goal is cheap stone. It costs to wait upon the Lord, to follow the process, to work diligently. For that, it takes faith.
It's cheap to use bribing as the way to get the job done . It costs to pay the price of integrity. For that, it takes faith.
It's cheap to meet a man or a woman today and he on the bed today. It costs to wait to be legally married before the parents and the church so to enjoy the bed. For that, it takes faith.
It's cheap to beg and live at others expenses. It costs to work and be on the giving side. For that, it takes faith.
It's cheap to be lost in the crowd, and to look like anybody else. It costs to be separated, different, outstanding and special. For that, it takes faith.
It's cheap to criticize those who do something while you do nothing better. It's costly to be diligent and improve yourself day after day despite the mockery of the mockers. For that, it takes faith.
It's cheap to worry, to be stressed, to be depressed like anybody else. It costs to be joyful, grateful, happy. For that, it takes faith.
It's cheap to wish that things will work out well for you (your marriage, your business, your ministry....). It's costly to work for things to work out well for you. For that, it takes faith.
CONCLUSION
Pray for the grace of faith
