IF URIAH KNEW ...
*READ*
2 Samuel 11:14, "The next morning David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah."
*MEDITATE*
Today's text presents David sending Uriah to Joab with a letter. The letter written by David was instructing Joab to set up a plan to kill Uriah. Can you imagine Uriah carrying himself without knowing the letter of his own condemnation? How I wish Uriah knew the content of the letter. He would have tore it and escaped from David's trap. Unfortunately, he never knew and as a matter of fact he died in the battle.
My Bible tells me in Colossians 2:14 that Christ " *blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross""
Please understand that on the cross, Christ has " *blotted out*" the handwriting of ordinances. The word " *blot out*" comes from the Greek Word "exaleipho" and means to destroy, to wipe out and to reduce to nothingness. It speaks of eliminating something by rubbing or anointing it out. It speaks of something being removed or reduced to zero.
So understood, let it be clear in our mind today that on the cross, anything written by the devil to condemn us (sin, sickness, poverty, misery, depression, bareness, sterility, mediocrity, dependance to drugs, ...) has been blotted out by Christ. Which means in other words that Christ has wiped them out, reduced them to nothingness, eliminated them by rubbing them, removed them and reduced them to zero.
Today, you who are in CHRIST, don't be like Uriah who was carrying the letter of his own condemnation.
Don't continue to carry on you what has already been destroyed and nailed on the cross. Tear down by faith any letter written by the enemy bearing your condemnation (medical report, judicial report, etc.) and appropriate yourself by your faith the benefits of the cross for you.
*RESPOND IN PRAYER*
If Uriah knew that the contents of the letter bore his own condemnation, he would have torn it up. Now that you know and understand that Christ blotted out the handwritting condemning you, go ahead and pray ...
- Sicknesses and diseases (HIV, cancer, malaria, high or low blood pressure, depression, ... ) were blotted out on the cross. Refuse to carry them and blow them out by your faith and PRAY !
- Poverty, curses, sin, stagnation, infertility etc were blotted out on the cross. Refuse to carry them on you and blow them out by your faith and PRAY !
- All the works of the enemy condemning you (mention them by yourself...) have been blotted out on the cross. Refuse to carry them and blow them out by your faith and PRAY !
