DEVIL, SHUT UP !
In Psalms 33: 9, it is written, "For he spake, and it was done ; he commanded, and it stood fast."
When men make promises, they are always accompanied by excuses and justifications because men are limited and their hands do not always have the capacity to translate their words into action.
It is not so with our God. Our God is not the God who speaks empty words. No. He is the God who speaks and translates (converts) his word into action and his promises into fulfilment. He is the God who speaks and who confirms. I like calling him the God of confirmation
Someone reading me today is in the crossroad of his life. Maybe God has given you a promise but it seems not to come to pass. Maybe the devil is tormenting your mind by sowing doubt in your heart asking you the way he did to Eve in the garden of Eden, "DId God really say...?" (Genesis 3:1).
I would like to tell you that there is nothing God would say and his hand would fail to fulfil or perform. I say nothing and I insist "absolutely nothing". Why am i saying that? I am saying that for 4 reasons:
First reason: Because unlike men, our God is not only able to say (speak). He is also able to do as it is written in Ephesians 3:20: "... God is able to do ..."
APPLICATION: If the devil sows doubt in your heart, close his mouth saying, "The God who spoke to me is also the same God who is able to do what he tole me"
Second reason : Because while reading the story of creation, 7 times in the book of Genesis is repeated the statement "God says ... And it was so" We read it in Genesis 1: 3/7/9/11/15/24/30.
APPLICATION : Shut the mouth of the enemy saying, "As the Lord God says so shall it be in my life in the Name of Jesus Christ !"
Third reason : Because Jesus Christ lived his whole life on earth, from his conception to his ascension, a life of fulfilment of Scriptures.That's why for example throughout the Book of Matthew, we see repeated several times the statement, "... that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord..." (Matthew 1:22/ 2:17 / 2:33 / 5:17 / 5:18 etc)
APPLICATION: Command doubt to leave your heart from henceforth because the same Jesus Christ whose life on earth was a life of fulfilment of the Scriptures is the same who lives in you,
Fourth reason : Because the Bible confirms that the hand of God is not short (Numbers 11:23). It is mighty and strong (Psalms 89:13). It is the hand of power (Luke 22:69)
Life application : Though God's hand is not short, it can be shortened by your sin (Isaiah 59:1-2) and by your own unbelief (Mark 6:5-6). You can shut the mouth of the enemy today by repenting from all sin and destroying any form of unbelief in your heart.
CONCLUSION
