DON'T SETTLE FOR ISHMAEL TRUST GOD FOR YOUR ISAAC

READING : GENESIS 16:1-16

Matthew 4:7 Jesus said to him, "Again, Scripture says, ‘Never tempt the Lord your God.’"

In my little experience of walking with God, I've learned that it is me who need God to help me not me who need to help God. God is too powerful to need my help and I am too powerless to help God.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HELP GOD? 

Trying to help God is another way of telling God how late he is. It is telling God he is taking too much time to act. It is telling God he is not able enough to fulfill his promise. It is showing God that we know better than him. It is showing God that we are our own gods.

We "help God" to find us a mate by hanging around sin-stained locations and disregarding God's standards of purity. 

We "help God" when like Absalom we use pressure or manipulation tactics...or by watering down the truth.

We "help God" when like Saul we force ourselves out of situations using our own-self-made ways.

We "help God" by using shortcuts to reach our goals.

WHY SETTLING FOR ISHMAEL WHILE YOU CAN TRUST GOD FOR ISAAC?

Abraham and Sara received a promise from God that they will have a child. Time was passing and nothing was happening.

Out of  the pressure of time,, they became impatient and thought to help God to get the promise fulfilled. As a matter of fact, Abraham got Ishmael with Agar while God had Isaac in his original plan. This led to problems of Hagar despising Sarah and Sarah mistreating Hagar, and Arabs fighting Jews until today

CONCLUSION

My friend, just because things haven't happened yet does NOT mean that they're not going to.

Just because you've been given a vision, and you have yet to see the manifestation, doesn't mean there will be no materialization. 

Just because you feel you've prayed and there is no answer from God, doesn't mean that your prayer hasn't already been answered.

Know that being impatient means you do not trust God. Believe today that God is faithful! - God is able - God is reliable - and trust Him. He never needs help from you but you need help from Him. Rely on Him. Wait upon Him. Do what he tells you to do and wait to see what he told you he will do.

PRAISE = PRAISE= PRAISE

TODAY, DO NOT ASK GOD ANYTHING BUT JUST PRAISE HIM TELLING HIM FROM THE DEPTH OF YOUR HEART :

1st praise : "He is not a man that he should lie" (Numbers 23:19); 

2nd praise : "He never delays" (2 Peter 3:9);

3rd praise : "He is ever dependable and always reliable (Psalm 89:34). 

4th praise : "He does everything at the right time and his time is always the best" (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

SO SHALL IT BE
