YOU NEED THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Text : Acts 1:8
Jesus Christ the Son of God was not able to do anything without power from above.
Without power it was not possible for Jesus to be conceived and to be born (Luke 1:35). Without power it was not possible for Jesus to fulfil his ministry on earth (Luke 4:1; Luke 4:14). Without power it was not possible for Jesus to be resurrected (Ephesians 1:18-20). Without power it was not possible for Jesus to ascend to heaven (Ephesians 1:20-21). When he will come back it will be with power (Matthew 24:30).
Jesus knowing so deeply the need of power instructed his disciples to wait until they receive power so that they will be his witnesses all over the world (Acts 1:8).
We all know that before Jesus was empowered, he was just a carpenter like any other carpenter in the city. He was known only in his neighbourhood as the Son of Mary and Joseph, the brother of Jude, the carpenter etc. (Matthew 13:55 ; Mark 6:3).
But when power came upon him, the Bible says that his fame was spread abroad ( (Luke 4:14), multitude was coming to him (Matthew 4:25), he was causing such a great impact that many were wondering, "Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?" (Matthew 13:55)
APPLICATION
If today you are born again, and saved it has taken the power of God to make it possible (Romans 1:16). In the same way, for you to live effectively your christian life, it is impossible without the power of God (Zechariah 4:6).
NOTE/INSTRUCTION
In this season of empowerment, find yourself time to spend at least 30 minutes everyday of *one and one with the Holy Spirit* and check the area of weakness in your life pray that the Holy Spirit will empower you.
Also, I encourage you to do so using your Bible and reading the Scriptures provided in the devotion.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
1) Those among us who are called barren and are unable to conceive, have faith in the Lord that the power of the Holy Spirit who made Mary able to conceive will also do the same for you in the Name of Jesus Christ !

2) Those who are weak in prayer, weak in fasting, weak in witnessing about Jesus Christ, weak to say no to sin, weak to walk in holiness and purity, weak to go to church, weak to read the Bible, I speak to you from my altar and pray that the Holy Spirit will empower you and turn your weakness into strength in the Name of Jesus Christ !

APPLICATION
