LEARN TO LEAN TOTALLY ON DIVINE HELP
INTRODUCTION
In John 5:19, Jesus Christ says, "The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise."
If Jesus Christ the Son of God lived his entire life depending, relying and leaning totally and absolutely not on himself but on his Father, the purpose is to teach us to do the same.
THE EGYPTIANS ARE MEN, NOT GOD
No matter how genuine or how capable a man might be, he is still a man and not God. He can help you one day but not everyday. In John 5:19, Jesus Christ says, "The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise."
If Jesus Christ the Son of God lived his entire life depending, relying and leaning totally and absolutely not on himself but on his Father, the purpose is to teach us to do the same.
THE EGYPTIANS ARE MEN, NOT GOD
As a matter of fact, because men are limited, they will never help you beyond their capacities. Also, because they are made of flesh, they might help you for a while, but at the end of it all, they will be tired.
That's why Solomon says in Proverbs 3:5,
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
In Isaiah 31:3, it is written,
"Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit..."
There's no way God can bless you when you lean, rely and depend on the help on men. Doing so is a way of putting a curse on yourself as the Lord says in Jeremiah 17:5,
"Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord"
CONCLUSION
Brethren, if you genuinely want the continuous flow of help from above in your life, you have to STOP LEANING on the help from beneath. If you really want the unstoppable flow of help from God in your life, you have to STOP RELYING on the help from men. If you desperately want permanent divine help in your life, you have to STOP DEPENDING on human help.
PRAYERS
Prayer 1 | Who are you relying on for your help? Who are you depending on for your help? Who are you leaning on for your help? If it is not God, repent and pray to break the curse.
Psalm 73:25 "Whom have I in heaven but thee ? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee."
Prayer 2 | Tell Jesus from the depth of your heart how helpless you are without him.
John 15:5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
