TEXT OF THE DAY
Ecclesiastes 11:4 Whoever watches the wind will never plant. Whoever looks at the clouds will never harvest.
KEY STATEMENT
Excuses are rationalizations we make to ourselves about people, events and circumstances. They are invented reasons we create to defend our behavior, to neglect taking a particular kind of action, or simply as a means of negating responsibility. Excuses are in essence a means of placing blame OF an internal problem ON an external condition.
Why are christians living an average life ? Why are christians not excelling in life ? Why are christians not living the maximum of their potential ? Why are christians not praying as they should ? Why are christians the tail and not hte head ? Why are christians not different from the unbelievers?
Answers are many but one is major : they find comfort in making excuses.
Someone once said, "Breakthrough happens when excuses come to an end"
My friend, as you are reading me today, I know and you know you have many excuses to justify and validate where you are and what you go through. You make excuses convincing yourself that God will understand you. You go too far even to blame and accuse those around of not being caring to you.
You make excuses to justify your unforgiveness. You make excuses to justify your unfaithfulness. You make excuses to justify your sin. You make excuses to justify prayerlessness. You make excuses to justify your failures. You make excuses to be in the same spot and stagnate.
TODAY, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I CURSE THAT EVIL SPIRIT IN YOU. BY THE AUTHORITY IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, I BREAK THAT PATTERN KEEPING YOU BELOW YOUR POTENTIAL.
This week, we will focus our daily meditation on how to breakthrough by breaking excuses.
CONCLUSION AND PRAYERS
It is time for you to stop being camplacent and start taking responsibility. It is time for you to step out of excusing yourself and accusing others.
I beg you by the mercies of the Lord Jesus Christ to check your life and pray that the Lord will free you today.
