KEYS TO OPEN HEAVEN ... RECAPITULATIVE LESSONS AND PRAYERS
This week we have studied 5 more keys to open heaven
- On Monday, we studied that though God is the one who opens the heaven, but the type of heaven men want to see God open is their choice. It depends on their obedience or their disobedience.
In Deuteronomy 30:19, God says,
"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
- On Tuesday, We mentioned that "pleasing God opens heaven". We saw that pleasing God takes the following :
1) No one pleases God without faith in Him. It takes faith to please God. (Hebrews 11:6)
2) No one pleases God thinking and living according to the flesh. It takes being spiritual to please God. (Romans 8:8)
3) No one pleases God without the fear of the Lord. It takes the fear of the Lord to please God. (Psalms 147:11)
4) No one pleases God without obeying God. It takes obedience to please God. (1 Samuel 15:22)
5) No one pleases God without a sonship relationship with God. It takes a sonship relationship with the Father to please God. (Matthew 17:5)
6) No one pleases God while taking pleasure in sin and in unrighteousness. It takes holiness to please God. (Hebrews 13:21)
7) No one pleases God without committing in a lifestyle of praise and worship. It takes a dedicated lifestyle of praise, worship and thanksgiving to please God. (Hebrews 13:15)
On Wednesday, we've understood that Jesus was not baptized in the Dead Sea but he was baptized in the River Jordan. Heaven was not opened on the dead sea. Heaven was opened on the River Jordan.
We saw the difference between The River Jordan and the Dead Sea. The River Jordan receives water and runs it down to the Dead Sea.
Contrary to the River Jordan which receives and gives out, the Dead Sea takes water from the River Jordan, and holds it. It does not give. Result? No life at all. That's why it is called Dead Sea.
On Thursday, we have affirmed that it was not the first time that the heaven was opened for Jesus Christ. We saw that the Lord could not come to the planet earth without heaven being opened.
As a matter of fact heaven was not opened upon Jesus by chance or by pure coincidence. Rather, it was because in his coming into the world, Jesus Christ knew well and confessed clearly and boldly that "IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT WAS WRITTEN OF HIM".
We've understood that the heaven opens in response to our knowledge and bold confession of what is written in the volume of the book concerning us.
We have been inspired by Caleb who knew what the Lord said about him. Not only did he know it, he also kept it in his heart for 40 years while in the desert. When the time came, he appeared before Joshua and made a request to acquire his territory in accordance with what had been said to him 45 years before.
On Friday, we saw that the state of the heart determines the state of the heaven. Whenever the heart is shut to God, the heaven is also shut. Whenever the heart is opened to God, the heaven will also be opened.

- Pray for obedience /
- Pray for the Lord to grant you the grace to please God /
- Pray for God to use you as a Jordan for the blessing of others around you /
- Pray for God to make you a Caleb who knows what is written about him in the scroll of the book
- Pray that the Lord helps you keep your heart open
