SCRIPTURES
Matthew 6:6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
Matthew 6:18 "That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly."
Galatians 6:9 "Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
KEY STATEMENT
Our Father rewards openly the prayers we lift up to Him privately. Let me emphasize on it again. Private prayers never remain private. They always culminate to a public reward from the Father. Let me say that differently. When you pray your Father in private, don't only expect Him to answer you but also expect him to reward you in public.
But take note of the fact that your reward is not in any mortal man's hand but in the hand of the Eternal and Everlasting God. However his reward will be delivered and handed down from the hands of God to your hands only if you are faithful.
WHAT ARE THE BLESSINGS OF FAITHFULNESS?
There are blessings attached to being faithful:
1. God preserves the faithful
Psalms 31:23 “…the LORD preserveth the faithful…”
2. God entrusts treasures, riches, possessions, responsibilities, rulership and dominion to the faithful
Nehemiah 13:13 And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah, … Zadok, …Pedaiah, …Hanan, …for they were counted faithful…
Luke 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
3. Blessings abound to the faithful
Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
4. Being faithful keeps one above the reproach and the accusations of the devil and his agents
Daniel 6:4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he [was] faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
6 THINGS GOD DOES WHEN HE REWARDS
* When God's hand rewards, he takes away the reproach and honors his son and daughter
John 12:26 "If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour."
* When God's hand rewards, he silences and humbles the mockers.
1 Peter 2:15 "Because it is God’s pleasure that foolish and narrow-minded men may be put to shame (silence) by your good behaviour"
* When God's hand rewards, he encourages your faith and others' faith.
Psalms 138:3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, [and] strengthenedst me [with] strength in my soul.
* When God's hand rewards, he shows to all that He is trustworthy, ever faithful and ever reliable.
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he [is] God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
* When God's hand rewards, he shows to all that no one seeks him in vain
Isaiah 45:19 "I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right."
* When God's hand rewards, he shows to all that He is the Righteous God who never forgets.
Hebrews 6:10 For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
MY CONFESSION TODAY . . .
* IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, MY FATHER'S HAND IS OUTSTRETCHED TO TAKE AWAY ANY REPROACH IN MY LIFE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!* IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, MY FATHER'S HAND IS OUTSTRETCHED TO SILENCE MY MOCKERS IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
* IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, MY FATHER'S HAND IS OUTSTRETCHED TODAY TO PERFORM SIGNS AND WONDERS THAT WILL ENCOURAGE THE FAITH OF THE MULTITUDE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
