SCRIPTURE
“The
LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this
mount: Break camp, and get ready! Go to the mountain region of the Amorites, and go to everyone living on the plains, in the mountains, in the foothills, in the Negev, on the whole Mediterranean coast (the land of the Canaanites), and into Lebanon as far as the Euphrates River. …” (Deuteronomy 1:6-7)
KEY STATEMENT
Until
we get to the point where we can say ‘Enough is Enough’ there will be no
change and no advancement.
When we become divinely dissatisfied, and become spiritually restless,
then we will begin to stir ourselves up. We will begin to shake off every
spirit of slumber and laziness, then and only then will every yoke of the
oppressor be broken in our lives. Then we will receive liberty in every area of
our lives. This is a divine principle.
The day Jabez cried to God, He
was heard. The day Hannah cried to God, the book of remembrance was opened for
her sake. The day Jacob wrestled with God’s angel he got his breakthrough. The
moment the fire of God stirs up holy anger in you over your situation and you
pray with spiritual violence, every yoke will be broken.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN “ENOUGH IS
ENOUGH”?
1.
Enough is
enough means IT IS TIME TO TAKE ACTION
AND NEW STEPS FOR THE CHANGE OF LEVEL.
The prodigal son could no longer bear the weight of his sin. He found himself in poverty and in misery. He was broke and was eating the same food with pigs.
One day, as he came back to his sense, he said “Enough is enough! I will arise and go to my father” (Luke 15:18 emphasize is mine). As he arose, he was restored and his life changed.
2.
Enough is
enough means the things that have been always tormenting and harassing you should STOP AND NEVER torment and harass you again.
Year after year Hannah was tormented and harassed by Peninnah her rival because she was not able to conceive.
One day, she stopped crying because of Peninnah and started praying and laboring at the prayer altar. As she arose, she got her desired Samuel and the mocker was silenced. (Read 1 Samuel 1:9-20)
3.
Enough is
enough means the endless cycle of poverty, misery, rejection, depression and stagnation should
STOP and a NEW CYCLE of blessing,
prosperity, happiness, acceptance and advancement should start.
The lepers at the gate of Samaria reached a point whereby they could no more bear poverty (financial stagnation), rejection (emotional stagnation) and sickness (physical stagnation).
One day, they’ve decided to take some steps to break the cycle of stagnation and advance to their God-given destiny. As they moved, God turned their steps into a sound of a great army causing the Syrians to flee. The cycle of poverty, of rejection and sickness was supernatrally broken. (Read 2 Kings 7:3-5)
4. Enough is
enough means THAT ISSUE HAS TAKEN LONG.
IT MUST COME TO AN END
- It was enough for that man to be paralyzed for 38 years. Jesus came to him and set him free.
- It was enough for that woman to be plagued for 12 years. She arose and came to Jesus by faith to touch his garment. Her plague came to an end.
- It was enough for that daughter of Abraham to be bent for 18 years. Jesus came and loose her from the infirmity.
