DIVINE ADVANCEMENT DAY 12 "I AM BLESSED TO LIVE DEBT FREE"

SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 22:7 "The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."

Deuteronomy 15:6 "The LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but THOU SHALT NOT BORROW; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee."

KEY STATEMENT

Among many other things that cause some people to stagnate in their finances, one thing is called DEBTS.

From Scriptures, God vows to bless his people so abundantly that the blessing will cause them to reign over many nations and never have to borrow from them.

Deuteronomy 15:6 "The LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but THOU SHALT NOT BORROW; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee."

Though God has vowed to bless his people, the blessing will never be effective until they make themselves the choice to be blessed. No one is ever blessed or cursed by accident but one is blessed or is cursed by his personal choice as God says in Deuteronomy 30:19 :

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live"

I have been trapped myself and enslaved in debts long time ago but since I personnally and deliberately decided to choose blessing, Jesus Christ delivered me and set me free.

Here are 7 simple biblical truths that made me free from the trap of indebtness :

1st truth : Borrowing is an act showing that you don't trust God fully and enough.

Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

2nd truth : Borrowing is an act showing that you don't wait upon God. Borrowing is like telling God "You are too slow."

Abraham reached a point in his journey of faith where it seemed that God was too slow to give them Isaac. Pressurized by Sara his wife, he got Ishmael from Agar while God's plan for him was Isaac. 

3rd truth : Borrowing gives the lender power over you to oppress you, to torment you, to abuse you...)

Proverbs 22:26-27 BBE "Be not one of those who give their hands in an agreement, or of those who make themselves responsible for debts: If you have nothing with which to make payment, HE WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR BED FROM UNDER YOU."

4th truth : Borrowing makes you a slave to the lender

During the times of ancient Israel, it seems clear that a lender could collect any and every item from you until there was nothing left to collect except for the person him or herself.  At times, even children were sold to cover a person’s debt.

5th truth : Borrowing never  solves any problem. It postpones it in the future and sometimes makes it worse

In 2 Kings 4:1-7, we see the story of the creditor has come to take my two children as servants in payment of his debt.

6th truth : NOT BORROWING IS A COMMAND FROM THE LORD TO HIS BLESSED ONES. IT IS NOT AN OPTION ...

Deuteronomy 15:6 "The LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but THOU SHALT NOT BORROW; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee."

Deuteronomy 28:12 "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and THOU SHALT NOT BORROW.

Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

7th TRUTH BY FAITH IT IS POSSIBLE TO LIVE A STRESS-FREE AND DEBT-FREE LIFE

Mark 9:23 (KJV)  "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE to him that believeth."

WHAT TO DO ? 

1. By faith, make up your mind to stop borrowing and start trusting totally and fully the Lord.

2. By faith, discipline yourself and put in place a plan for paying your past debts and budgeting wisely your income

3. By faith, be content with what you have and avoid living beyond your financial capacity

Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

4. By faith, believe it is possible to live a debt-free life.

Isaiah 20:27 "I believe God is able to deliver you from the yoke of debts on your shoulder by the power of his anointing."

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS 

# I pray God to open heaven upon your head and grant you financial breakthrough to be able to clear your debts IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

# I pray that my God will increase your faith so that you will totally and unreserdedly trust him in everything IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

# I pray that my Father in heaven wil deliver you from the slavery and trap of indebteness so that you will enjoy total financial freedom and dominion IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

DECLARE AND PRAY _________________________

# I pray that my Father in heaven will provide all your needs whether spiritual, emotional, financial or any other IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

DECLARE AND PRAY _________________________

SO SHALL IT BE!

JESUS IS LORD!
