Being persistent equals being “until” minded, “until” oriented and “until” purposed in the pursuit of the fulfillment of God’s agenda on the earth.
Until you are until-minded, anything along the way will discourage you, depress you, stress you out and cause you to give up.
1. In
order to allow the people go through the River Jordan, the priests had to stand
in the midst of the river UNTIL everything was finished.
Joshua
4:10 For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, UNTIL
EVERYTHING WAS FINISHED that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the
people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and
passed over.
2. Joseph
had to stay in Egypt UNTIL with the baby Jesus UNTIL God tells him to go back
to the land of Israel.
Matthew
2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to
Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and
flee into Egypt, and be thou there UNTIL I BRING THEE WORD: for Herod will seek
the young child to destroy him.
3. Jesus
Christ commanded his disciples to remain in the upper room UNTIL they are
endued with power.
Luke
24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in
the city of Jerusalem, UNTIL YE BE ENDUED WITH POWER FROM ON HIGH.
4. God
instructs his Son to sit at his right hand UNTIL He subdues all his enemies.
Psalms
110:1 «A Psalm of David.» The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right
hand, UNTIL I MAKE THINE ENEMIES THY FOOTSTOOL.
5. The
good shepherd looks for the lost sheep UNTIL he finds it
Luke
15:4 "Suppose a man has 100 sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave
the 99 sheep grazing in the pasture and look for the lost sheep UNTIL HE FINDS
IT?
6. The
woman looks for the lost coin until she finds it.
Luke
15:8 "Suppose a woman has ten coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a
lamp, sweep the house, and look for the coin carefully UNTIL SHE FINDS IT?
7. The
Lord vows to have no rest until his people find rest.
Isaiah
62:1 For Zion’s sake I will not remain silent. For Jerusalem’s sake I will not
rest, UNTIL ITS RIGHTEOUSNESS SHINES like the dawn and its salvation burns
brightly like a torch.
8. Naomi
instructed Ruth to sit still UNTIL Booz sorts out her marital status.
Ruth
3:18 Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, UNTIL THOU KNOW HOW THE MATTER WILL
FALL: for the man will not be in rest, UNTIL HE HAVE FINISHED THE THING THIS
DAY.
9. David
was a kind of warrior who fights UNTIL he gets complete victory.

again UNTIL I HAD CONSUMED THEM.

Psalms
112:8 His heart [is] established, he shall not be afraid, UNTIL HE SEE [HIS
DESIRE] UPON HIS ENEMIES.
10. Solomon
inherited from David his father the UNTIL I FINISH” mentality.

Chronicles 28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage,
and do [it]: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, [even] my God, [will
be] with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, UNTIL THOU HAST
FINISHED ALL THE WORK FOR THE SERVICE OF THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.

Chronicles 8:16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the
foundation of the house of the LORD, and UNTIL IT WAS FINISHED. [So] the house
of the LORD was perfected.
Song of
Solomon 4:6 UNTIL THE DAY BREAK, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to
the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.
11.
A
persistent believer never seeks the Lord otherwise than UNTIL the Lord comes
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to SEEK THE LORD, TILL HE COME and rain righteousness upon you.
12. Jacob made the most of his encounter with the Lord in Peniel because he was determined “TO NOT LET GO THE LORD UNTIL HE BLESSES HIM”
Genesis
32:26 Then the man said, "Let me go; it’s almost dawn." But Jacob
answered, "I WON’T LET YOU GO UNTIL YOU BLESS ME."
