12 HABITS OF HAPPY PEOPLE

I.                  Introduction

Being happy is your right. It will become effective in your life if it becomes your personal choice and if you personally cultivate those 12 habits in your daily life:



II.               12 habits of happy people

1^st HABIT: THEY LOVE GOD FULLY AND LOVE OTHERS TRULY

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind.’ And ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself" (Luke 10:27)

2^nd HABIT: THEY LIVE HOLY

"Because the God who called you is holy you must be holy in every aspect of your life." (1 Peter 1:15)

3^rd HABIT: THEY GIVE JOYFULLY

"We should remember the words that the Lord Jesus said, ‘Giving gifts is more satisfying than receiving them" (Acts 20:35)

4^th HABIT: THEY LIVE A LIFE FREE OF WORRY

"Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks." (Philippians 4:6)

5^th HABIT: THEY LIVE IN CONTENTMENT

"Be careful to guard yourselves from every kind of greed. Life is not about having a lot of material possessions" (Luke 12:15); "Don’t love money. Be happy with what you have because God has said, "I will never abandon you or leave you" (Hebrews 13:5)

6^th HABIT: THEY NEVER SLEEP ANGRY

"Be angry without sinning. Don’t go to bed angry." (Ephesians 4:26)

7^th HABIT: THEY THINK, SPEAK AND LIVE THE WORD

"Never stop reciting these teachings. You must think about them night and day so that you will faithfully do everything written in them. Only then will you prosper and succeed." (Joshua 1:8)

8^th HABIT: THEY HONOR THEIR AUTHORITY

"Honor your father and mother that everything may go well for you, and you may have a long life on earth." This is an important HABIT with a promise." (Ephesians 6:1-2)

9^th HABIT: THEY ARE ALWAYS JOYFUL

"Always be joyful in the Lord! I’ll say it again: Be joyful!" (Philippiens 4:4)

10^th HABIT: THEY PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

"Never stop praying." (1 Thessalonicians 5:17).

11^th HABIT: THEY ARE ALWAYS THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL

"Whatever happens, give thanks, because it is God’s will in Christ Jesus that you do this." (1 Thessalonicians 5:18)

12^th HABIT: THEY WATCH OVER YOUR LIPS

"People who want to live a full life and enjoy good days must keep their tongues from saying evil things, and their lips from speaking deceitful things" (1 Peter 3:10)

III.           Conclusion

There’s no true happiness without Jesus Christ. Do you want to receive him in your life? 

Just pray with me:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you in the Name of Jesus.

Your Word says, ". . . him that comes to me I will not cast out."  (John 6:37)

So I know you won't cast me out, but you take me in. And I thank you for it.

You said in Your Word,". . . if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, YOU SHALL BE SAVED . . . For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."         (Romans 10:9, 13)

I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification [to put me in right standing with God].

I am calling upon His Name - the Name of Jesus - so I know, Father that you save me now.

Your Word says, ". . . with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."  (Romans 10:10)

I do believe with my heart, and I confess Jesus now as my Lord.

Therefore I am saved!
