The Divine Drawing

 Pray for the Divine Drawing

"If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink."  — John 7:37 (KJV)

People don’t come because of programs — they come because of thirst.

And Jesus said:

📖 John 7:37 – “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”

📖 John 6:44 – “No man can come… except the Father draw him.”

📖 John 12:32 – “If I be lifted up… I will draw all men unto me.”

So how does God draw?

1- By thirst — spiritual hunger

Isaiah 55:1 – “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters...”

Matthew 5:6 – *"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."

John 6:44 – *"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him..."*

John 7:37 – "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink."

2- By supernatural appearances — dreams, visions, miracles

Acts 10:3 KJV - He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius."

3-  By members’ invitation — one soul reaching another

Proverbs 11:30 – "He who wins souls is wise."

John 1:45 - "Philip found Nathanael and said to him, 'We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.'"

Mark 5:20 - "Then he [the man healed from demons] went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone was amazed."

Romans 10:14 - "And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?"

Luke 14:23 – “Compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

John 1:41–42 – Andrew invites Peter to meet Jesus.

John 4:29 (Samaritan woman evangelizing) — “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”

4- By strange sounds — prophetic cries, divine disruptions

Acts 2:2  "And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting."

Isaiah 6:8  "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?' Then I said, 'Here I am! Send me.'"

Acts 16:25–26  "At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake..."

5- By light — people come to your light

Isaiah 60:3 KJV - And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

By teaching — they come for wisdom, for truth

1 Kings 10:23-24 KJV - So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. [24] And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

Isaiah 2:3 – “Come ye… He will teach us of his ways…”

Isaiah 60:9  Many will come from afar… because of the name of the Lord your God and because of the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified you.” "

Isaiah 52:7  How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, 'Your God reigns.'"

Mark 6:34 – The multitude followed Jesus because He taught them.

Luke 5:1 – “The people pressed upon him to hear the word of God…”

7- Willingly — drawn by love

Jeremiah 31:3 – “With lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”

Hosea 11:4 – "I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love..."

John 12:32 – "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself."

Romans 2:4 – “The goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.”

1 John 4:19 – "We love Him because He first loved us."

8- Compelled — by the power of the Spirit

Luke 14:23 – "Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in..."

John 6:44 – “No man can come to me, except the Father… draw him.”

Acts 16:14 – Lydia’s heart opened by the Lord to heed Paul’s message.

Zechariah 4:6 – “Not by might… but by my Spirit, saith the LORD…”

John 15:26  "But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me."

Zechariah 4:6 — "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."

Conclusion:

God draws people in multifaceted ways—through inner hunger, divine encounters, human messengers, supernatural signs, radiant light, truth-filled teaching, loving kindness, and the irresistible power of His Spirit.

As Jesus said:

"And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."

Stand and cry! Don’t sit in silence. Like Jesus on the last day of the feast — lift your voice!  Let the cry go forth: "Come and drink!"
